First 2 singles off first lp .......boring ........ First two off this .........worse ....noel was not cut out to be a singer /songwriter. Only the most ardent lover would like it ....to the masses his voice is bad , why when oasis were making LPS if he sang on a few it was palatable ....but to hear him whine in the same key for 10 tunes  No THX ....... I've heard some shite in my time but this is something else. |

What's so "different" about Alone On The Rope? what ? It's clearly different from the rest of Noel's repertoire. Not out there, but something definitely not Oasis. How is it different from Idler's Dream? |

He is struggling to write decent melodies.From his last album What a life was good,If i had a gun was good,Alone on the rope was good, all the rest were decent.... This is completely forgettable and no amount of fancy atmospheric production can save it. As for the idiot who said something about how McCartney has no great songs for decades....you obviously don't know shit about songwriting ,melodies a if you really believe that. Worst troll ever. |

The verses are generic,the bridge is generic,the chorus doesn't exist.......it's SHIT get over it fanboys. You can't polish a turd. Great production, non existent song. His idol McCartney writes better tunes in his seventies. Haha wise up McCartney hasn't written a great song in decades. |

Trying something different these days would be to go straight into the rock n roll mode. He's more than playing it safe, adopting the sound that's in nowadays, these kinda songs dominate the indie charts, and he's repeating What a life part 2. Heat of the Moment was more of a risk than this. I respect everybody's opinion, but this is not a risk at all. Are you not a beady eye fanboy? |

I think Tony was by far their best drummer, but I like Oasis the best when they play their 'punk' rock stuff like BIOD or Supersonic. Alan really killed Supersonic with his shit way of playing it, but I am a little biased. I just don't believe it was fair to Tony that Noel had the opportunity to can him himself, considering he was the last member to join the band, and it was Tony, Liam and Bonehead that started it all. I don't believe it should of been only Noel's call to get rid of him.  |
