There isn't that many songs by Oasis that I would be embarrassed to play to my friends in public as a representation of the band. This is one of them.

Off the top of my head one of my least favorite Noel written Oasis songs, standing better only against PAIMM and Mucky Fingers(really hate that song)

Just heard the acoustic set Andy and Mark of Ride did for Kexp. Amazing stuff. Goodnight fellas. I love this amazing acoustic version of Vapour Trail from that session. Every time I hear this track I can't believe the songwriter is the same Andy Bell. If only he contributed songs like this one when he was in Oasis (or Beady Eye...) Wow, Andy is a lot better at singing than I thought! Maybe I should give Ride another chance, I'm digging that acoustic session.

Heathen Chemistry was shit. Oddly enough tho, Little By Little was the first Oasis song I liked...

Which songs that Oasis/BDI/NGHFB made do you think maximized their potential? That had the production, mix, vocals and instrumentation that made them as good as they could of been? For me Wonderwall and The Shock of the Lightning come to mind. I don't see how they could've made better, IMO no mistakes were made creating the tracks at all. I'm a fan of most of the songs that they did, but whenever I listen to Slide Away for instance(amazing song) I always wish the backing vocals on the outro were louder, and the Brendan Lynch mix of Champagne Supernova makes me realize how even more beautiful that track coulda been...

I sent Brian Cannon a tweet last week asking if he has done any artwork or been involved on the BHN rerelease. He did reply, but unfortunately he confirmed that he has not touched anything to do with BHN since the 90's. I kinda understand releasing only DM and MG, as they are the two really popular albums, I just don't understand why they keep announcing things and then not going through with it. If you aren't sure you're gonna release something, then don't say you are...

Am I the onlyone who thinks the acoustic version of Don't Look Back in Anger is a little bit boring? No, I like the electric version better, but didn't like Zak Starkey's drumming on it. Noel's voice didn't truly get perfect on the sound until 05ish IMO, which leaves the DOYS tour, and they only did it acoustic. I really do like the familiar to millions version, but for me the fuji versions crowd just tops it...

That would've been interesting. Then it would've set up a DOYS track listing like this (sorry for another one of these!): Bag it Up The Turning Waiting for the Rapture The Shock of the Lightning I'm Outta Time (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady Falling Down To Be Where There's Life I Believe in All The Nature of Reality Soldier On Either that, or just replace TNOR with Come on Outside, and take out GOYHHL, to make it your own custom one, or whatever you like, it's up to you lol Here is a fantastic idea for an early 2006 Oasis EP....................................... STOP THE CLOCKS 1. Stop The Clocks (Liam) 2. Lord Don't Slow Me Down (Noel) 3 The Good Rebel (Liam) 4. I Wanna Live In A Dream In My Record Machine (Liam) 5. Stop The Clocks (Noel) Take out the Good Rebel and either leave it be or add Boy with the Blues and I'd agree with you. TGR is a terrible song

Plus...........the guy behind the mask, Adam Driver, is a legit actor. Always underrated but will now get the exposure he deserves. Much like Oscar Issacs. Both great character type actors. Can't wait. Here's hoping that exposure won't lead to him getting struck down with the old star wars career curse that has claimed so many over the years (everyone apart from the Harrison Ford from the original trilogy and everyone INCLUDING the mighty Ewan McGregor from the prequels) Interesting you bring up being behind the mask, because he looks pretty badass without it as well to be fair: Wonder when and why he'll don the mask in the movie... In similar fashion, it'll be interesting to see whether we see Gwendoline Christie or not. I guess she'd do it whatever the part - hell, James Bond himself, Daniel Craig has even tried to wangle a part dressed up as a stormtrooper just to be in it - but she's on Thrones now, surely they'd get any old nomark in to be dressed up in a suit all the movie. Like a bodybuilder playing Vader in the originals, and then another fella coming in for the unmasking scene. There must be something else to her character to warrant getting in such a pro as her for the role. Interesting that the "There has been an awakening..." quote has been rehashed for this teaser. Seems to be the big one they're going with. And yet we STILL haven't seen anything of the guy who says it, Andy Serkis' character. Yet another thing to look forward to! Although I agree that most of the actors got typecast, Mark Hamill became a VEERRYY successful voice actor.

Fed, the guy is unreal. One of the best grass court performances I've ever seen. I only hope he utterly destroy's Novak. Novak has a lego head and lacks class. Never could get behind Federer. Especially after the 09 Final where they immediately aired a classless commercial of him not being able to drag around all his trophy's in a cart, and then saying Novak was lucky for hitting an amazing match saving return, saying something along the lines of "I don't just randomly hit the ball as hard as I can and then hope for the best". He did play a great match tho, and I'm hoping for a good final. As for Novak, how has he "lacked class" anytime in the last couple years?

First live Oasis video I ever watched. This is probably the best version of it done live. Way too emotional and powerful. Misses Alan White's drumming IMO

This. He's the only character remotely likeable left. Fuck this show, I'm going to start rooting for the zombies. What happened to Arya. That whole thing completely slipped my mind Whats wrong with Jon Snow? Like Ned, he is the only true noble character in this whole fucked up dungeons and dragons world. He's always trying to do right by everyone even if its unpopular. She lost her sight, either due to ramifications of taking a life she wasn't supposed to, or because it's another step in her training.

it's just the pacing is too slow. They wasted too many episodes on the same plot (Dany and the slaves) and they keep adding new characters. They're running out of books and they are trying to extend it as much as possible but I feel these last episodes are just a drag. I don't usually commit to the same show for more than 5 or 6 seasons and maybe that's starting to kick in. Although I'm still enjoying the show, the problem is that they are currently adapting A Feast for Crows and A Dance With Dragons which are pretty much exactly as you described, adding more and more characters and not really going anywhere...
