Take a look at noelgallagher's Tweet: Get tweeting, you never know it might help.. So we have here, out of 20 songs: 4 songs from HFB 6 songs from CY 10 Oasis songs (half of which are done to death on the last tour and prior) Half the set is the exact same as the HFB tour. I'm sorry to contribute to the venting but I love the new album and all the back catalogue so much yet he plays the same songs all the time! With the Oasis songs, the exciting bits here are Spaceman, Sad Song, Listen Up. I can see CS and Digsy's Dinner being done throughout this tour though they could probably use a change up soon. As for the new album, the most interesting songs arent getting played - GWXRE, Right Stuff, WTSRTS, BOTMI. I also think Record Machine would sound amazing live again and should be a HFB setlist regular.

If there won't be a change, I swear I'll push my way to the front row and throw plums at the singer.

Noel didn't play a new song since his first concert of the Chasing Yesterday tour.

As I said in the past Noel can sing pretty much anything
The girl with the x Ray eyes come on Noel at least give it a shot one of the best tunes on the album would rather this over an oasis song any day.
I wouldn't open the gigs with everybody is on the run Do the damage was a great opener set the scene got everyone up and about.
Some of his shoulders songs were great Carry us all One way road Sunday morning call Where did it all go wrong It would be good if Noel could play just 1 new old song each night then at the end of the tour u can see what works what doesn't

I don't quite get why everyone is so insistent on some of the SOTSOG songs. They're good, yes, but some songs, like SMC and WDIAGW, are seriously heavy and looking back on them probably weighs on Noel emotionally in some ways. I don't think he'd ever admit it, but I presume that's why he stopped playing those two songs after just a few concerts on the SOTSOG Tour.

As for if Noel's act is becoming boring, it isn't if you look at it from just the albums, but the stagnant setlists are annoying, and what's even more annoying is that he's slipping back into doing more and more Oasis stuff. At this point in his solo career, it should be about a 7/7/7 split between HFB songs, CY songs, and Oasis songs, and not a 6/4/10, like what we're getting now. That doesn't do much for forming his own identity as a solo act.
Although, I do enjoy the Oasis songs he's picking. Sad Song, Spaceman, Listen Up, and Digsy's Dinner were all very underserved for quite a while, and CS, TM, DLBIA, and HTWA are all definite staples. However, I think Talk Tonight needs a rest for a bit, and Wonderwall just doesn't need to be there if he's doing it in the Ryan Adams/Capo 3 arrangement. Some more HFB songs would be better suited in place of those two for a while.

In a few days I will see him in vienna snd I have to say I am happy that I will see noel again but tge setlist annoys thr hrll out of me. If you look at the setlist he is really going for the chasing yesterday theme this time.
I would love to gear "ballad of the mighty I" but can't see it coming. Instead there will be wonderwall....

I wont be going to see Noel again until he actually changes the setlist, I'm not talking about one or two swaps, I mean completely shaking it up. He has such an amazing selection of songs to choose from and he only bothers to use about 20 of them (Oasis). If he makes a change it's usually something like Half The World Away in for Talk Tonight or Wonderwall in for Whatever, it's so fucking boring. [...] Once I've seen a Noel Gallagher setlist at the start of the tour I know when I get to see him it will be exactly the same and I can literally name every song coming next as I'm watching him (my girlfriend was impressed with that when we saw him in Manchester), it's ridiculous. Perfect. For me, his records are brillant, but his acts now are very boring. I saw him live twice in the last month (festival at Lollapalooza Brazil and solo in Uruguay). The first one was an incredible experience because it was my first time watching him live since 2012, when I wasn't really ready to assimilate some things. Also, I wasn't expecting Listen Up on a festival, and it was my highlight of the night so far, I cried a lot. Anyway, the second one put the things on the right place. Almost 5 years after the beginning of HFB and half of the setlist continues being Oasis songs. I understand most of the crowd was there for the Oasis reputation, wanting to listen Oasis songs, but for me he should've play HFB songs. Come on Noel, you released two albums and at least 15 great songs, why ignore the great moments from HFB Era? You can easily play your solo stuff and 4 or 5 classics from Oasis, not the same boring HTWA/Talk Tonight/Whatever every fuckin' night. When I talk about playing his solo stuff, I'm not necessarily referring to obscure songs like Alone on the Rope that was never proper released, but the b-sides and non-single stuff. Just a quickly list... - 9 songs from HFB (EOTR, Dream On, IIHAG, TDOYAM, RM, WAL, SBAJF, Broken Arrow and SOTWB); - 7 songs from CY (Riverman, ITHOTM, LATD, TDOTL, Mexican, YKWCGB And BOTMI); - 6 b-sides/bonus (Let the Lord, Simple Game, Good Rebel, Do the Damage, Freaky Teeth, Revolution Song) Come on. TWENTY TWO (22!!!), more than your setlist, and only talking about good solo songs. I don't want rarities, I want respect for a solo project. You have fans of this solo thing you are doing for no reason but money, apparently, so get them a chance too.

Noel said in an interview last year that he dropped songs like shout it out loud etc because there would about 3 people in the crowd going mad for it while everyone else looked bewildered, he said people come to hear the hits so that what he does.
its a fair comment tbh, if its not connecting with the crowd then I guess theres not much in point in playing them.
