Well, it's not exactly like Liam does acrobatic stunts on stage, does he? No. The point he made is that Liam is never boring. He doesn't need to do anything to get all the people's attention. ( I don't want to make this a Noel vs Liam thread again.) Come on, you must be new here. Don't you know the Second Law of Forum Dynamics?

As someone mentioned above, loosen up a bit on stage Noel! I tend to listen to the live stuff more often but I don't find myself clamoring to catch the tour this time around. Improvise a little! No musical tension between songs, very little banter, just "okay, here's anothef one..." Remember the segue into Jimi Hendrix after C&A?! Have some fun.

Is Noel's act becoming boring? - No, but he should change some things. I expected a lot before his 2016 tour (at least one rare song). Not Wonderwall again.
Imagine Noel says at a gig: "I didn't play this song for a long time" *Starts playing Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks*

He's not boring but he's not exciting, he's Noel, you know what you're getting and it'll be enjoyable but he's not going to change your life anymore, he's probably already done that though so who cares?

I notice from his South American gigs he's started wearing in ear monitors didn't he slam pop stars for wearing them and said he never would wonder why he's changed his mind all of a sudden.

I don't think he slammed pop stars for that NME November 2015He did along with electronic cigarettes in a wide ranging rant as part of an interview with Esquire Magazine (interview)

Yeah but he's not really slagging them off for wearing in-ears is he? It's probably the first thing that came to his mind

After going to his show last night, IMO he has become boring with the same stupid setlist every night. Also another thing that annoys me is the fact he doesn't even play (most of) his own guitar solos anymore. Lazy and boring Noel Gallagher.

It's not like any of the solos are shredding or anything. And although Tim Smith is alright, I find the solos he plays are either buried in the mix or worse than the originals.

I wont be going to see Noel again until he actually changes the setlist, I'm not talking about one or two swaps, I mean completely shaking it up. He has such an amazing selection of songs to choose from and he only bothers to use about 20 of them (Oasis). If he makes a change it's usually something like Half The World Away in for Talk Tonight or Wonderwall in for Whatever, it's so fucking boring.
Why not do one surprise a night? That way he still gets to keep doing that greatest hits setlist that he feels he needs to do yet every night is unique to the audience in attendance, that wouldn't take much effort at all and would be refreshing.
Once I've seen a Noel Gallagher setlist at the start of the tour I know when I get to see him it will be exactly the same and I can literally name every song coming next as I'm watching him (my girlfriend was impressed with that when we saw him in Manchester), it's ridiculous.

I enjoy the records but live is boring now. I like how Noel has matured with his songwriting. Songs like TDOYAM, The Right Stuff, TBOTMI and others are actually quite brilliant. His interviews are naff and boring and his football interests are the same. What does football interests even mean ffs Rambling on about Man City at every opportunity. It's actually quite obvious to be honest.

I don't think he will ever change though. I don't see why he can't get the acoustic out and just play a couple of songs almost by request each night. I reckon he'd be more inclined to risk a bit if Gem was alongside him.
