I may be the only one that's perfectly happy with the b-side. Previously unreleased on a physical product, more than happy to finally own it. Better than a remix, any day of the week. Actually, all vocal NGHFB remixes are miles better than their dull regular counterparts. Five singles off an album with only eight vocal tracks! Money, money, money...

It’s classic Noel though, taking elements from a song and in my opinion making it better! I really love If Love Is The Law, I get a sense of joy from it that I don’t get much from most modern music, and that includes Noel’s recent tunes too. When he is able to hit that sweet sound of melody and optimism with a dash of melancholy then the results are so great. Don’t really understand how people say it is forced, because it is something slightly different from Noel in that it doesn’t sound like a retread of any of his other pop songs, and neither is it bogged down in the mid tempo sludge that’s blighted many of his songs since 2000. Very fresh sounding and the added bonus of Johnny Marr’s great little harmonica solo is a sweet addition. Really great little tune.

Hilarious: "Johnny Marr is also seen playing guitar and harmonica in the video as a guest musician." Gem’s got to be happy with that compliment. X

Johnny gets the song - I’ve heard no better description of the song’s quality than the one he just gave here.

I loved that, thanks for posting. It makes me want to buy Johnny marr's book, which has just come out here. (I was probably going to buy it anyways)

"Set The Boy Free" is really pleasure to read and even for me, non native English speaker, it was easy to read, unlike Moz's autobiography.

I've got Morrissey's book, it's like he's purposely written it in a way to frustrate readers. I enjoyed it for the most part but it was a slog to get through his 50 pages complaining about Mike Joyce. And the 30 pages devoted to complaining about all people in his life.

To be honest I haven't finished to reading Moz's biography yet. I bought it when it was released a couple of years ago, but haven't even finished the first 50 pages yet. Book isn't easy to read for non English speakers. It's a shame because I would love to read what he's written, but it'll take some time for me to reach the last page I'm afraid.

I never dug the perceived lazy attitude or the fuck all attitude, especially with Rolling Stone and MTV. With me it was the dog / cat analogy that he used to spin, before he found the words to describe it. Noel would always want a year off and Liam would always want to rush into the studio. It was a funny dynamic, the singer who was desperate to get in there and sing the songs. The songwriter who just couldn't be fucked. But Noel don’t mind, as long as there’s a bed beneath the stars that shine, he’ll be fine, so give him a minute, a mans got his limit, he can’t write a song if his hearts not in it......

In general i agree that he does usually take elements and make a song better. But this is more in the Whatever level of borrowing. Which makes me think he hasnt even done it intentionally, especially if he truly did record the songs with the approach he said (writing everything in the studio) But i just think if hes going to be ripping tunes, then he could be looking in better places than that.
