I may be the only one that's perfectly happy with the b-side. Previously unreleased on a physical product, more than happy to finally own it. Better than a remix, any day of the week.

Absolutely same here, better than a 12 minute dance mix what we normally get. Surprised more people aren’t pleased with this, it was the one song from the first album sessions that should have made the album for me, wanted it released for years, made up. |

The real question is how a song like this somehow gets to be a single. Embarrasing. Because it has a great melody and is one of the best songs on the album. I honestly think it’s the worst thing he’s ever released. Atrocious in my opinion. |

The real question is how a song like this somehow gets to be a single. Embarrasing. It's a solid song but it has "good album track" written all over it. Singles don't mean anything for Noel's market now, especially not after the albums came out. It's just for collectors really and it's nice to have Alone on the Rope on a vinyl record. |

I'm not a really collector, but I buy every format of releases. I have countless Oasis/Liam/NGHFB bootlegs as well.
I just love to collect them and want to have every format of singles, albums, especially limited editions. Despite of that, I surely can complain now and then, can't I?

Keith Richards supposedly had a record player in one of his car's.....I don't get the whole vinyl thing, either..... My parents had a record player, a nice one......I think; still sounded like shit, comparatively.....discovered the Beatles A Hard Day's Night, Michael Jackson's Thriller, and multiple Motown records with that classic emblem on that record player. Thanks. Just recently I gave my WBTM record a spin, the first time since I bought the record and I could hear instruments that do not exist on my digital versions, despite them being "perfect" rips. That alone made the purchase of the turntable worth it. Not only is the vinyl experience more intimate with the music, it's more crisp with greater dynamic range that digital just can't seem to reach. I'm not even an audiophile. I don't know the first thing about it. But there is clearly a difference in quality to my ears. Using my player a couple times a month is always a good experience.
i hope you bought your sound system from Buck Swope, and it's in hi-fi, the highest fidelity..... i'd be curious to hear some vinyl on a nice record player..... other formats are just so much more convenient.... Thanks. |

I'm surprised with the hate for If Love is the Law. I think it has a really sweet melody to it and the arrangement is interesting with the horns section, harmonica, and little guitar fills in there. Noel also nails the happy but melancholic tone that he's so good at doing, but in the context of a more winter-y, Motown-influenced sound. It's a bit of a grower, though, so I'm not surprised that some people don't hold it very highly. It sounds really nice on acoustic guitar, though, for all you fellow guitar players out there.
