I'm waiting until Friday to listen to Noel's album but for those who've listened to both, which do you prefer?

Prefer Dave's album personally, probaby the best thing he's done.

Both average in different ways.
Liam's has the better songs in terms of straight forward writing, but really it's a sound that has done a million times before. Probably has no real longevity.
Noel's is full of poor songs but carried along by the fact the production isn't as generic or boring as usual.

Doesn't matter which I prefer, but having listened to both albums I can't help thinking that they're so different that if Oasis didn't split in 2009, they would have imploded by now, not because of the personal arguments, but due to creative differences.

It will kick off in here for sure, count the Liam avatars and take them off the count ha, just kidding.
WBTM 9/10 AYW 4/10
Personally not a fan of AYW, I get why Liam fans like it because it sounds like BE & latter day Oasis but just find it boring personally.
WBTM is fresh, and imo the best album Noel has been involved in since BHN, and I’m a big fan of his first two solo albums, but he’s stepped outside his comfort zone finally and he’s better for it.

It's less immediate than AYW. Less catchy but I think there is more to discover than on Liam's record. With time (a month or so) Liam's became a bit...dull... Maybe it was something we'd heard so much in the past. Noel's on the other hand is more varied, atmospheric and, despite not so many sing-alongs, can grab my attention for months. That's what I'm hoping for anyway...

I don´t know which is better...it´s a subjetive opinion. But i´ve listened AYW many times from start to finish and i still enjoy it a lot every time. However, i´ve listened WBTM two times in its entirely and probably will never listen it again...just a few songs

AYW - 8/10 WBTM - 7/10
Noel had a go at something different, and it’s worked, it is a good album. I wouldn’t say it was majorly out there, but it is different. I’m on the forum as I’m an Oasis fan though, Liam is giving the people Oasis, on the album and during his shows. Some people don’t look at it that way and they want something different. I get that, but when it comes to Liam, I just want Liam singing the type of songs that are on As You Were. I like Noel’s voice but struggle to make it through a whole album of it. As You Were is a straightforward Liam album, in a good way, it doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it’s solid and fun to listen to. Who Built The Moon works well and it has some great highs, The Man Who Built The Moon is stunning.
Neither albums are classics but are both the best work either has done in a while. What you prefer will be down to your own taste and what you want from the album. In a way we’ve got the best possible scenario. Liam doing what he does best and Noel making the album we’ve all wanted him to do in ages. All in the space of a couple of months. Great time to be an Oasis fan.

Waiting for the WBTM CD but it’s great there’s two quality and different Gallagher albums out there...

AYW - 7 WBTM - 8
Noel’s wins only because it sounds fresher, doesn’t rely on as many Dad rock cliches, has better musicianship and better production. But Liam’s has more good songs (helped by having more songs in total) and, of course, Liam’s voice. Great year to be an Oasis fan.

I prefer As You Built the Moon. Actually, scratch that. Who Built the You Were? Its huge. I created a playlist this morning called As You Built The Moon 😂 Tried to merge the two albums into an album using the Oasis format (i.e. Liam singing most of the songs). Here’s what I got Fort Knox Wall of Glass Greedy Soul Black & White Sunshine Come Back To Me Paper Crown If Love Is The Law For What It’s Worth You Better Run I Get By The Man Who Built The Moon Doesn’t Have To Be That Way I’ve All I Need Not bad, in my opinion.

Easily the largest difference between two Gallagher albums (compared to the 2011 and 2013/15 ones). Both have some real filler on them, I dislike the amount of instrumentals on WBTM?, but in the end the standouts from Noel are above and beyond the standouts on AYW.

So far, WBTM is a lot better going by the singles.

Let’s just enjoy them both. Separate but equal folks. If you want fast punchy rock we got Liam. If you want atmosphere and vibe we got Noel. We got plenty to go around for all shades of Oasis fans. This is a good thing.

Noel's has a couple of mega songs on it, but atm as a album I prefer Liam's, but this may change over time This. The songs that work on WBTM are absolute corkers, but the ones that don't are really, really bad. As You Were achieves its goals much better.
