I'll give it a 9 myself. Great piece of music.

A solid 7/10. I just don't see it having much longevity with me...

4.
Better than the shitstorm that came before it. Fort Knox still miles better. The production is horrendous. As is Noel's voice during chorus. French lassie by far the best element of this disaster.

Eh. The problem with Noel doing a U2 song is that he doesn’t take it to the next level. U2 or Coldplay would have turned this into a lush pop song.
It just doesn’t quite deliver. And I really am unsure about the French part.....first off, that idea was not Noel’s, I can’t see Noel randomly thinking a French dialogue should be added. And why pick French? It just seems so arbitrary.
7/10

Noel trying very hard to be like his heroes. Ok.
I love the bass, the backing track could have been a bit better though, where is that great organ from the live version ? Give us something on the second part of the song.
It's like the Oasis latter days, it lacks something.
For now 6/10, we'll see in the flow of the record.

6/10 for me
Too long and nothing new appears on the second part of the song. Great verses, cool bass line. I don´t like how the chorus is produced, find his voice annoying

9/10 for me, up there with his best solo songs (EOTR, TDOYAM, BOTMY, HM,...). I guess it will eventually go to 8/10 with time

9, up there with his best solo work. Love the new vibe, happy Noel going new direction finally.

The best proper track we've heard off WBTM so far (however "Fort Knox" is still my favourite). 8/10.

7/10
I like the vibe and really appreciate Noel trying a new direction as one has to constantly evolve to keep things fresh and interesting, my concern is after hearing BW and HM the arrangement on both is a basic verse, chorus, verse, chorus, and as someone pointed out above there is no other hooks or elements to look forward to later in the song to make you want to play it to the end, which is something that Beady Eye suffered from particularly with DGSS...
And the annoying thing is - that we know that this isn’t a characteristic of Noel, his extra hooks and middle 8’s are what used to set him apart from other songwriters, the input from Holmes is palpable...
The tune at 2.09 on the recent interview audio sounds great, as does DITW, so im still excited!

Why he would want Noel to take out a great middle 8 baffles me. Though in a sense, there is a middle eight in this one - it's just in French An 8/10 for me.

Solid 7, but give me HM any day.
It's a good tune and I love the chorus, Noel's singing is fantastic. Also like the minimalist instrumentation and the lyrical theme - with all the melancholy shit around these days Noel is trying to raise everyone's spirits, so the juxtaposition of subdued and melancholic music with upbeat lyrics reminds me of The Smiths in reverse (who dabbled with upbeat music and depressing lyrics, like Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now).
BUT, I don't see myself listening to it over and over again like I usually do with Oasis/NGHFB. So although it's a nice tune it's sort of uninspiring for me compared to FK and HM sadly.

I really love the verses on it as they have tension filled melodies, but i feel let down by the chorus in particular when it gets to the “all that is real” line it feels tired and lazy with the exact same melody and syllables, Noel would normally add more dynamics to the end of a chorus by maybe stretching the words out or changing the melody... I think these bits that are being pointed out by a few here are the parts that Holmes had convinced Noel to scrap what he was starting with
