Cities In Dust is "must". My most favourite Banshees song. and you'll love this, theyknowwhatimean . Seeing Robert Smith and his men in 3 weeks. Can't wait! That's the one Banshees song I have heard. I absolutely love it. And it's for that why I want more. Yeah, I'll be seeing ol' Bob Smith and his band of (not so) merry men, a couple of weeks after you. I'm looking forward to it too, but I just hope watching it from a seat at the back of arena doesn't make it into a bit of an underwhelming experience (as it did when I went watching Weller in the same venue, last year). I might try and get into the standing bit, in-between The Twilight Sad going off and The Cure coming on...

We have standing tickets and it's the biggest venue overhere. I've seen The Who in the same venue 3 years ago. I'm not a fan of bigger venues. I hope you'll like The Twilight Sad. They're amazing and they're my most favourite current band. When they supported Editors last year, I bought a ticket just to see The Sads and went back home after their set, but this time I'm not leaving the venue until The Cure finishes their set!

The MEN, yeah. It's not the biggest arena, so the view should be fine still, but being sat down the whole time, I know I won't feel like singing when I get there. It's like when you're at a football match, no one does any chanting until the game starts hotting up, and people are up on their feet awaiting every corner and freekick. Mind you, I suppose The Cure are not what you'd call a 'singalong band'. It's just, I saw Noel last April, and for that I was right down near the front, and the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant. It really made the gig for me. So I think I will try and get to the floor for when The Cure come on.

Wilco? I've been waiting for someone to post one for them for months... I'm afraid I don't know anything about Wilco but I hear their new album is pretty good, from some fans' point of view. I also know they did series of 3 albums Mermaid Avenue with Billy Bragg that is supposed to be quite highly rated.

The Jesus and Mary Chain Echo and the Bunnymen I know a few songs. I love them both - Bunnymen and Mary Chain. Saw Bunnymen last January for the 3rd time. The Jesus and Mary Chain: The Complete John Peel Session (highly recommended. Their cover of "My Girl" is "must" to listen) Here Comes Alice (my most favourite Mary Chain's song) Taste The Floor You Trip Me Up Sidewalking (I would love to hear Ian Brown covering this song some day) Just Like Honey (probably the most known Mary Chain song) Psycho Candy Echo and The Bunnymen: The Killing Moon (you can't talk about them without mentioning this song, can you?) Lips Like Sugar Rescue Going Up Villiers Terrace Do It Clean Stars Are Stars Crocodilles The Cutter Back Of Love Heads Will Roll All That Jazz *I'm sure matt can fill farther for the Bunnymen. You have to add Nothing Lasts Forever for the Bunnymen, if only for Liam's la la las!

If I were to recommend a single album to you, it would be one of these 3: Your Arsenal (1992), You Are the Quarry (2005) or his latest World Peace is None of Your Business (2014). All three are fantastic records. I'd probably avoid Kill Uncle (1991) and Maladjusted (1997) for now. As for individual songs... Everyday is like Sunday Suedehead I Don't Mind if you Forget Me Now my Heart is Full The More you Ignore Me, the Closer I Get Speedway (many say, its his best song) Irish Blood, English Heart Let Me Kiss You I Have Forgiven Jesus In the Future when All's Well Dear God Please Help Me Istanbul Kiss me a Lot World Peace is None of your business (I didn't include any songs off Your Arsenal here I always felt those songs go so well all 10 together)

Can someone make a playlist for the Smiths? I never got into the Smiths as much as the Stone Roses, but I really want to.

Can someone make a playlist for the Smiths? I never got into the Smiths as much as the Stone Roses, but I really want to. I would recommend you to just listen to "The Sound of The Smiths", it's a great compilation with everything you need, really (apart from just a few exceptions). Maybe the greatest "Greatest hits" album of all time, but no surptise considering the catalogue of songs they had to choose from.

Somebody I know wanted to get into Radiohead recently, and asked for a playlist. I thought there was too much of a variety in style and tone in their career to make one cohesive playlist, so I organised them into the following three. See what you think
POP/ ROCK (The Bends / Ok Computer / Hail to the Thief)
1. Paranoid Android 2. Karma Police 3. High & Dry 4. Just 5. Fake Plastic Trees 6. There, There 7. I Might Be Wrong 8. My Iron Lung 9. No Surprises 10. Lucky 11. Let Down 12. Street Spirit (Fade Out)
EXPERIMENTAL / ELECTRONICA (Kid A / Amnesiac)
1. Everything in it's Right Place 2. Kid A 3. The National Anthem 4. How to Disappear Completely 5. Pyramid Song 6. Bloom 7. Idioteque 8. Ful Stop 9. You & Who's Army? 10. A Wolf at the Door 11. Life in a Glasshouse 12. Like Spinning Plates 13. Motion Picture Soundtrack
PRETTINESS (In Rainbows / The King of Limbs / A Moon-Shaped Pool)
1. Weird Fishes / Arpeggi 2. Daydreaming 3. Nude 4. Decks Dark 5. Identikit 6. Codex 7. Reckoner 8. House of Cards 9. The Present Tense 10. Give Up the Ghost 11. Separator 12. True Love Waits
Still waiting for that Country & Western Radiohead LP, tho.

I'm not sure I'm good at finding anything representative, but I'll give you my favorites, while not knowing all albums (& Bad Seeds) equally well. From her to eternity Tupelo The hammer song The mercy seat Deanna The good son --- here I could cite the whole album of that name! The weeping song John Finn's wife Do you love me? Lay me low --- same for "Let love in" Henry Lee Where the wild roses grow (Blixa Bargeld instead of Kylie Minogue, nothing against her, he's better!) Into my arms Fifteen feet of pure white snow Bring it on Babe I'm on fire (in combination with the video!) Let the bells ring Jubilee Street Push the sky away --- same! I guess those 3 are my favorite albums Jesus alone

^ I'm only a casual fan of Nick Cave, but I'd definitely throw Red Right Hand in there.
