LOL @ saying The Masterplan sounds like it has fillers đ What's next, someone's gonna say it sounds like a bunch of b-sides? đ Oh, and Whatever isn't on it because it's a B-side compilation targeted at the US market where fans had a hard time getting hands on the b-sides. I'd been in love with Oasis from the moment I heard them, but I think The Masterplan was when I realized what a generational talent Noel is. "THESE ARE THE FUCKING B-SIDES?? " 20 years later that astonishment hasn't faded.

Pretty sure the last few songs you named were written long after SOTSOG. The Good Rebel was written just before DBTT. The other prob few years later just prior to HFB. Ok, I thought Good Rebel was written after Be Here Now. Lord Shine A Light In Me I'm sure is pre SOTSOG đ¤ We've had this discussion before, I wish I could prove you wrong đ I havenât heard that about either song. I only know that TGR was around for DIV 2003 sessions. Highly doubt Lord was pre SOTSOG.

If youâre hankering for a re-issue of this album, you can claim with some confidence that you are a FUCKING HARDCORE fanatic.

Given that most people donât really buy music anymore at all I take your point. Still, though, SOTSOG - If I never heard it again itâd be no issue for me.

There's an interview from long ago where Noel said they recorded The Good Rebel was during the HC sessions. Wouldn't be surprised if it came up again during the DBTT sessions.

I'm dying to hear this one. There must be unheard demos and unreleased songs. Discuss. Ahem. live4ever.proboards.com/thread/83892/sotsog-reissueAlso, if youâre going to start a SOTSOG thread at least get the bloody acronym right so you donât come across like a massive casual fan ;-P X

Lost Dogs is great even though itâs missing some biggies. But so did the Masterplan! What biggies do you think of? Well I thought at the time of release it should have I Got Shit and Long Road. Leatherman also should be there and Out of Mind. You lump those 4 in and you pretty much included all their best b-side and one off songs.

Leatherman is a weird exclusion. Hmm. Wonder why that is. Out of my mind was never recorded in studio(?). Do you wish they would have recorded it proper for Lost Dogs or put in the live improv? I wish it would have had the songs without the tinkering. At the same time I can also respect doing changes to the original recordings and even rerecording songs to fit their vision of that album.

The greatest hits came out over a year later. At the time it was hard to get those songs. Before streaming and iTunes was still infant status. Also the compilation included songs that werenât really âlostâ or âraritiesâ or âb-sidesâ. Yellow Ledbetter was a minor radio hit in America in 1994 and Last Kiss was a massive massive massive hit single. Their biggest ever.

If a reissue is coming (probably not) it would be announced in January if they really wanna release it for its 20th anniversary. Man that is scary to write out actually. Twentieth. I remember being in high school checking for daily news on how the album was progressing on a prehistoric dial up Internet and bootleg looking websites/forums/chat rooms.

I REALLY hope this happens. Not feeling hopeful, but the fact that Noel played GLIO a few times live made me think he had maybe been revisiting the album with a view to reissuing it. Fingers crossed!
