I need a break from the BHN reissue thread so how about some speculation for the SOTSOG reissue?
Too soon? ;-)

Noel better include every single SOTSOG demo he made, including the ones we don't have: Full On, Teotihuacan, Idler's Dream, and (franklomax's fav) For One So Young.
Plus I think a few of the demos we do have have skips and clicks do it'd be great to get an upgrade.
As for anything else that could be included...idk? Maybe a Let Forever Be demo?

Also I'm pretty sure there's a Hey Hey My My studio version floating around so that should be included as well.

Could objectively be the best reissue, but what would we get that we haven't already got? We've already got the demos, which are all incredible, and it would be nice to see the Oasis version of Revolution Song get an official release. A finished studio version of that song would be incredible, as would versions of other songs from these sessions, such as Little by Little or maybe It's a Crime. But we wouldn't get those. Would we get Teotihuacan?
What live tracks/performances would people like to see represented? Some great acoustic performances from this era, such as Where Did it All Go Wrong? on Jools Holland, One Way Road on that Toronto radio station, the MTV performance of Who Feels Love? or one of Noel's acoustic performances of Gas Panic!

Also I'm pretty sure there's a Hey Hey My My studio version floating around so that should be included as well. There's an mp3 of an in-studio radio session for a Chicago Station, Q101 from April 2000. I think that's the closest we got to a studio recording. I think a Giants reissue would be great. There are a few demos on the tapes / CD we saw a couple of years ago which aren't circulating. Full On For One So Young One Way Road One Way Road (Wrong Key) Teothuacan There are 2 alternate mixes of I Can See A Liar on an extremely rare promo CD which have never surfaced. There are also the tracks Liam supposedly attempted in Sunday Morning Call and Where Did It All Go Wrong? I still think Liam would also have taken a run at Full On as its his kind of song. Although they were written and recorded in the Giants demo sessions I'd think the demos or any alternative versions of Little By Little, Force of Nature, Just Getting Older may get held over for a Heathen Chemistry reissue, possibly the first Let There Be Love acoustic demo for Don't Believe The Truth too.

I think you are right. A SOTSOG reissue would be the most interesting. Loads of tunes. Lots of darker tunes. Loads of alternate versions. Shit, I love listening to all the Noel sung demos from this period from the "Don't Let It Out" bootleg. You are getting me excited and we still haven't gotten the BHN one yet. This is probably 5-7 years away.

I'm ok with never hearing an official studio recording of "Hey Hey My My". Uncle Neil never made one and I have zero issues with that decision. The live versions are epic.

If BHN remaster will come prepackaged with a little white bag of "goodtime" does that mean a SOTSOG remaster will come with a bottle of prozac?

I dunno but I find it sadly unlikely we'll get a reissue for this for a long time....it was only really intended for the first three to get reissued wasn't it?

People here would be as disappointed with the SOTSOG reissue as they were with the Definitely Maybe reissue, because, like that, we already have a bucket-load of the demos. Imagine if we'd never heard any of the SOTSOG demos - it would be a stunning release. The best we can hope for is For One So Young - if that doesn't leak before then, and it could easily be a working title for a song release later.

I don't see them bringing out any reissues after the first two albums. They know not many will buy them and plus they'll probably brickwall them just as bad as the DM and WTSMG ones. The best thing they can release to fans is a Rarities Collection, including:
Mustique demos SOTSOG demos Unreleased versions of songs Early gig footage and audio from 92-93 The actual Live Demonstration versions of songs (like Married with Children and Spaceman) Record Machine demos LAG demos for The Roller, etc. Early mixes from BHN
Those are what fans really want. Believing that the supposed BHN remaster will probably be a hack job like DM and WTSMG, just give us the gold. The ark of the covenant. The holy grail!

The Chasing The Sun project was only for the first 3 albums but in a recent interview Noel did say the other albums would get reissued eventually too. The cash cow's teats are just too painfully bulbous to not be milked.

Im sure Noel will have problems the size of a cow over putting that out. he rather release a falling down "demo" with the only difference being a faint tambourine added on the final chorus.
