I'm still not sold on having an instrumental lead off an album. It sets a bad precedent for a record. It's made worse by the fact that the album only has 10 tracks. When Guigs and bonehead left, they should have scrapped the album and waited a year before coming back with something more well thought out.

I stand by my track listing. I don't think you can get better than this. Fucking top, this.
1. Teotihuacan 2. Go Let It Out 3. Who Feels Love 4. Full On 5. Let's All Make Believe 6. Gas Panic! 7. Where Did It All Go Wrong? 8. Carry Us All 9. Revolution Song 10. Roll It Over
Need to switch some vocals to Liam, but that goes without saying.

From another time and place.

SOTSOG didn't need HC songs to make it a classic, the songs were already there, Noel just chose not to use them because although he wasn't writing rockers at the time he bottled releasing a fully downer album and threw on some dire excuses for upbeat tunes. I've posted this on here before but this is my SOTSOG playlist and I listen to this twice as often as any other Oasis album Fuckin in the Bushes Go Let It Out Who Feels Love? Where Did It All Go Wrong? Teothuacan (except one) Let's All Make Believe Gas Panic! Full On (ideally with Liam vocals but my playlist obviously had Noel's) Teothuacan (excerpt two) Idlers Dream Roll It Over A actually really like SMC but couldn't find a place for it. May have been different if Liam had been able to sing it. I know the above would still have sold fuck all but critical they'd have been greater hailed iIMO Somebody give this man a blow job

My SOTSOG of the moment, Noel had great tunes but didn't use them. Teotihuacan is from 98 that would be plain weird to include it though.

Parts fo the vocals are too close to one another during the chorus, when he sings one line then gets back with "Let's All Make Believe...", it's badly edited sounds too much like two takes cut together, doesn't flow very well, he's out of breath at the end of the line and comes back fresh. Not too important but it always annoyed me. Doesn't sound natural. Very robotic.

There is no other way to sing it properly without it being sort of like that. It is a surprisingly tough vocal to get thru.

But Yeah it's the way the song is build, i tried indeed to play it on guitar and you can do the two lines without stopping, you're slightly out of breath in the end but that's should be no issue for the best singer of our generation

...There is no editing done to it... I've always thought there was a rough edit in that track.

IMHO, SOTSOG is the most un-listenable Oasis record ever made.

Is Noel teasing the SOTSOG reissue by putting Go Let It Out in his set?
Seriously, what else would have put that song back in his mind other than reissue planning meetings...

I hope he does all the rest of the albums. Noel’s definitely already said the rest of the albums will be getting reissued :-) So the dead time between WBTM and Noel’s next album is a good contender for the SOTSOGs reissue. (I’m assuming Noel has more say and involvement on the reissues than Liam based on both their previous comments, though that may change now the albums have songs written by people other than Noel). X

X No. Noel doesn’t pay attention to stuff like that. I very much doubt he knows it is 21 years old. (Christ, that number looks so weird written out here).
