I think we'll get something very similar to this, I also think some of those great Jools Holland performances will be used to bulk up disc 2, WDIAGW in particular is brilliant. I'm expecting that it will come out in November to cash in on Christmas. That'll pay for Noels winter holiday. This could also pave the way for more SOTSOG material being added to Noels HFB setlists which would be nice. |

I want to know what else was recorded at the same time as the Let's All Make Believe demo. Otherwise I don't really care about this. It doesn't need remastering and all the demos are out there anyway.

Carry Us All is a great tune. More than deserved a place on SOTSOG. What I love about Carry Us All is that it sounds uplifting and anthemic but what it’s saying is actually quite bleak. Gives you a weird dissonance. I agree that sonically it doesn’t fit into SOTSOG as Lennon2217 said but I think it’s one of the best from this underrated period. |

I don't think that there will be a SOTSOG reissue because the albums released after 1997 don't really appeal to the average listeners who aren't Oasis fans specifically. Still, I'd love if there was one because the SOTSOG era is seriously underappreciated.

That being said, I agree with your skepticism, since Noel says that a lot of things will be released/remastered/etc and very few of them seem to come to fruition, at least lately. I actually think they will reissue SOTSOG just to milk the cash cow. Piece of piss to stick it out again with a bonus disc of demos. The Knebworth project most likely fell through because of Guigsy etc withholding their image rights rather than Noel being all talk and no trousers. The only problem is Noel’s team is small and can’t cope with multiple releases. So it’ll have to be when there’s a gap between Noel’s albums. So I reckon 2019 is out as it looks like he’s gearing up to release something, but it’s realistic it could be ready for the 20th anniversary in early 2020. The last Holmes album took years to finish so they might be able to sneak the reissue out before it is ready. Fingers crossed anyway. X |
