Leave SOTSOG as it is. It's the best sounding Oasis record and doesn't need remastering. We also have plenty of demo's and live stuff from that era too. It's probably my favourite Oasis album because of its brilliance and it's flaws. It's definitely unique that is for sure. Oasis expanding into new sounds and textures. They would never advance towards this modern sound again sadly.

1. Fuckin In The Bushes 2. Go Let It Out! 3. Who Feels Love 4. I Can See A Liar 5. One Way Road 6. Gas Panic! 7. Where Did It All Go Wrong? 8.(As Long As They've Got) Cigarettes In Hell 9. Let's All Make Believe 10. Roll It Over
Now this would be a fucking great album IMO. Lose some of the weakest tracks, replaced with far superior b-sides, then start with an energetic, rockier and optimistic first half, gradually changing in tone to a darker, slower and melancholic second half. This is a five star modified album for me personally.

1. Fuckin' In The Bushes 2. Go Let It Out 3. Who Feels Love? 4. Full On (Liam) 5. Little James 6. Teotihuacan (Edit) 7. Gas Panic! 8. Where Did It All Go Wrong? 9. Sunday Morning Call 9. Let's All Make Believe 10. I Can See A Liar (better lyrics) 11. Roll It Over
The only thing I want from this reissue is a Liam sung Full On.

dont really hold out much hope for great extras on this one should they announce "put your money where your mouth is" project as weve probably heard all the demos for this album, LAMB demo only came out not long ago. seems to me like DBTT is the only one that might hold a lot of extras with the DIV sessions etc. HC will probably have the hindu times demo etc, already heard quite abit from post 2000s oasis. Didn't they record around 30 songs for Dbtt? That's definitely the post 90s reissue I'm looking forward to the most. It's also the point in time in which I got into Oasis, a brilliant time for me. I think Noel claimed as much as 60 in some interviews, which no doubt is massive hairy bollocks.

Every album needs a reissue. There's probably a lot more to discover from SOTSOG and the latter albums than for the first 3, with the many sessions, alternate takes, demos...
Doesn't mean they need a remaster (although DOYS...), but extra tracks, fyck yeah.

I like the Noel sung Gas Panic! version better than the Liam album version, but yeah alot of those b-sides were far superior like One Way Road and Carry Us All.

They would never advance towards this modern sound again sadly. This is all true, but half that album is crap. A few tracks have the "expanding into new sounds and textures" as you say, but most are simply average songs played pretty straight frankly. Let's take stock in what we have... Generally fresh sounds for Oasis... FITB, GLIO, WFL?, GP, RIO Average, kind of boring takes on Oasis... PYMWYMI, LJ, WDIAGW (the demo is more "fresh"), SMC, ICSAL Looks 50/50 to me, and that includes an instrumental. If anything, SOTSOG isn't "expanding into new sounds and textures" as much as it is a really weak Oasis record that lost almost all of what made Oasis a sensational band. If I want moody rock, then I can get that from other acts like Radiohead. Carry on.

I still think SOTSOG should have been a Noel's solo album.

I still think SOTSOG should have been a Noel's solo album. Would certainly be massively improved by removing Shittle James.

SOTSOG and HC combined together wouldve been a great 4th album.
SOTSOG has the substance but a lack of decent singles besides GLIO
HC has good singles but a lack of substance as a whole album.
remove the weaker tracks from SOTSOG and put in the singles from HC, cant really go wrong there.

I still think SOTSOG should have been a Noel's solo album. It was supposed to be. Liam found out where Noel was recording and showed up.

I did an amateur remaster/new mix of DOYS a while back using the multitracks, with the small audio engineering knowledge I had, but it could've been better. DBTT though needs a new mix as well - the flat production a la Sardy does not work at all.

No way the 4 latter albums will get a deluxe boxset and all. Just something like this: SOTSOG: Let's All Make Belive Cigarettes In Hell One Way Road Helter Skelter Carry Us All Full On Where Did It All Go Wrong (Semi-Acoustic Verison) Gas Panic! (Demo) Hey Hey, My My Go Let It Out (Demo) Solve My Mystery HC: Just Getting Older Idler's Dream Thank You For The Good Times My Generation The Heart Of A Star The Cage The Hindu Times (Demo) Stop Crying Your Heart Out (Demo) Little By Littel (Demo) Songbird (Demo) Little By Little (Finsbury Park) DBTT: Eyeball Tickler Won't Let You Down Pass Me Down The Wine The Quiet Ones Sittin Here In Silence Lyla (Demo) The Importance Of Being Idle (Demo) Let There Be Love (Demo) Can Y'See It Now? (I Can See It Now!!) Lord Don't Slow Me Down (Demo) DOYS: .... I expect when they announce these reissue (in 10 years or something like that) there will announce some boxset with demo's. Who's waiting for a superdeluxe boxset of Heathen Chemistry? except Beady’s Here Now

I don't think this would ever happen but disk 2 and 3 could be interesting for fairweather fans who aren't sad bastards like us
Disk 2 Let's All Make Believe As Long As they've got Cigarettes in Hell One Way Road Helter Skelter Carry Us All Full On Go Let It Out (Jools Holland) Who Feels Love? (Jools Holland) Gas Panic! (Jools Holland) Where Did It All Go Wrong? (Jools Holland) Sunday Morning Call (MTV)
Disk 3 Noel's 1999 demoes Remastered
I know we have access to practically everything from this era but for many this is known as a dark period for Oasis. A release like this would show the contrary and prove that the songs were there, they sounded great live but they just messed the album up because of Track list errors and messed the tour up because of personal problems

Where Did it All Go Wrong? (Demo) 6. Let's All Make Believe 7. Gas Panic! 8. Little by Little 9. Stop Crying Your Heart Out 10. Songbird 11. Born on a Different Cloud 12. Roll it Over I stuck Songbird in there as sort of a "everything's going to be alright despite the dark days"-sort of song where the record would need it the most. Otherwise, it would be omitted. Without HC: 1. Fuckin' in the Bushes 2. Go Let it Out 3. Who Feels Love? 4. I Can See a Liar 5. Full On 6. Let's All Make Believe 7. Gas Panic! 8. Where Did it All Go Wrong? (Demo) 9. One Way Road 10. Roll it Over

SOTSOG didn't need HC songs to make it a classic, the songs were already there, Noel just chose not to use them because although he wasn't writing rockers at the time he bottled releasing a fully downer album and threw on some dire excuses for upbeat tunes.
I've posted this on here before but this is my SOTSOG playlist and I listen to this twice as often as any other Oasis album
Fuckin in the Bushes Go Let It Out Who Feels Love? Where Did It All Go Wrong? Teothuacan (except one) Let's All Make Believe Gas Panic! Full On (ideally with Liam vocals but my playlist obviously had Noel's) Teothuacan (excerpt two) Idlers Dream Roll It Over
A actually really like SMC but couldn't find a place for it. May have been different if Liam had been able to sing it.
I know the above would still have sold fuck all but critical they'd have been greater hailed iIMO
