If anyone's struggling to get tickets, I've heard that Keef Teef's selling some.

Press conference at 2pm apparently. Whatever happened to this? No idea mate. I was getting updates from the Roses forum and I think the same person that gave the info that something was going to be announced put this forward as well or maybe it was a journo but it seemed reliable att he time. Still fuck all about new music though, I won't be buying a ticket till there is.

btw, can you imagine a Liam comeback as a support artist? About to go on a wild theory right now. Liam is apart of the "& Special guests", debuting some new tunes with Bonehead, and he may feature on a new song from the third album!

People want to hear new material before the gigs but knowing them if there is new stuff they will debut it for the first time at the gigs. Catch everyone offguard. Then again, if this is just another cash grab, I won't be surprised.

There was magic in the air at Heaton Park, It really was something a bit special but I went to see them again at Finsbury Park and by then it seemed like a slog.

They wouldn't be playing over here if there wasn't new music. #HYPE #NEWMUSIC #NEWALBUM #THIRDCOMING Great news for the Roses fans in the US, but isn't MSG too big for them? In 2012, they sold 3 days of Heaton Park, but in Amsterdam they even couldn't sell out of HMH with capacity of 5500.

Heard that Morrissey played there and debuted new tunes, and the show wasn't that spectacular. I'm not expecting alot of people there but still interesting they're making a pit stop over here. If these gigs were a cash grab they could've just done a bunch more UK shows and some France, Netherlands and Spain gigs again (even though they're doing Japan as well). It's obviously not going to do much good for them to do Adored or Fools Gold for the 1000th time to a American audience. Keep in mine the increasingly younger amount of audience members showing up at gigs for older acts. Noel gets alot of them and according Ashcroft in that Radio X interview, during those Mexico and European gigs he did in October, there were early 20 somethings in the audience. New music is their chance to bring something refreshing over here as a comeback to US audiences, for those who don't know them.

No albums since 1994 and even that was ignored. They are probably better off at the less sexy Terminal 5. I'm sure they will now "sell out" the Garden. I've been amazed at the volume of bands who have sold out the Garden recently who had no business even playing that venue. They definitely "fudge" the numbers and don't offer all sections in the building so achieve a sell out. A lot of monkey business goes on in the music/concert business but I am proud to say that both times i saw Oasis at MSG the entire building and sections were sold and filled.

I can proudly agree 08 was defo sold out and all of 'natives' around me were singing every song. The guy stood in the aisle air guitaring to champagne supernova was particularly amazing too .. Anyway. I would guess that a city size of NY, they'll be able to sell it out even if it's tourists and the 'cool kids' off NY going.. Or like you say they'll close sections off.

A lot of times MSG won't sell tickets behind the stage (which is normal) and the top top levels (300 sections). So you are changing what the capacity can be from like 18,000 to 14,000 or even 12,000. That's still a huge huge number for a NYC gig but it ins't a true MSG sell out in my books.

Well guess if they got a 66%-100% window for capacity see why acts take a risk and book it as comes with prestige (tho like you say seems to be diminishing) Anyway good luck to them. They need to release this 'new' album can't believe it nearly 5 years since the reunion. Time to prove its not just been a cash in

I think it'd be ridiculous for them to not release any new material, not to mention incredibly lazy. I won't think about seeing them live again until they do.
*Hopefully* they have announced the tour first so as to guarantee ticket sales, in case people don't take kindly to the new material, but Ian Brown has never gone this long without releasing something, 7 years! There MUST be something getting recorded surely...
Fingers crossed anyway. Hopefully in the next 12 months we'll have a new Roses album, a new NG album, and a new Gorillaz album....I'd be very happy

He would've released new solo material if the band had called it quits in the studio for new songs. Worst case scenario is them playing a couple new songs at these gigs, but I can't imagine there isn't anything new.

Really ambitious move for them to play MSG, I hope it works out for them and America finally hear what a great band they are.
I really think we're going to get some new tunes VERY soon, surely they haven't just been twiddling their thumbs in the 3 years since they last played live.
Any word on who the support acts are going to be at the Etihad? No disrespect intended to Soak or Rodrigo y Gabrella as I've not listened to either of them but I'm hoping for somebody more well known.

Tickets for the Madison Square Garden Show went on sale Friday. It did not sell out and as I predicted, they aren't offering all levels for seats meaning it wouldn't ever be a true "sell out" since the upper balcony levels aren't available for purchase. Plenty of seats still open for grabs. This smells like a prime walk up to MSG day of the show and buy tickets for under face value gig..............a good thing!

Same, but it keeps that air of mystery around and makes things exciting. But I feel something is just coming on the horizon, this time, since the reunion gigs. No way (I mean come on) they just decided to get off their asses and tour again for some cash, especially since they're heading over here to the states.
