I've always thought they would release a new album. Ian Brown hasn't gone back to doing solo as expected and the lack of any word from them them isn't a sign of discontent - they did this back in the late 80s where there was hardly any word from the band. yea remember in some documentary that the media pissed over them because they didnt really play up to things and stayed on the down low. |

I like their approach though - all very discreet, no fanfare and gives an added sense of mystery as opposed to some bands hyping everything up to 11 and then it turning out rubbish. |

just heard this annoucement on the radio but it didnt say nowt about new music so i ask whats the fuckin point in this apart from milking more money from fans

Bit disappointed, dunno if I'll be able to get to Manchester, hoping more gigs will be announced at some point next year. Thought this would be part of the announcement, support even seems lined up from the Courteeners and the Charlatans, but was hoping for more
And they made me look a mug about the wait...

I've seen them after reunion in Tokyo and Amsterdam. I would have danced on a coffeetable if they would have announced the new album. (but there's still hope)

Really hope there is an album in the works too, seems like a bit of a shallow money grab doing another tour after already reuniting. Still going to try and get tickets for Manchester although I don't hold out a lot of hope due to being in uni at that time so having to rely on the woeful wifi on campus.

Meh. I was really hoping for a new album. These guys are lazier than Noel... Yeah, likewise with Noel, couldn't care about touring. Heard it all before, just the same old same old without any new music. If they're not playing new songs or releasing a new album, then this is pointless. |

I would expect them to realease somethign new before the gigs. I had read they were in the studio. If they don't they can get to fuck though. I won't be getting a ticket to see them again until new music is assured.

I want to see The Roses, so I'm happy. I'm probably a cash cow but an happy one at least.
Anyway I think we'll definitely have other news regarding a World Tour and maybe a new album.
It's crazy that we might hear a brand new single by the Roses at any time now. It could be tomorrow, or Friday or next week.
