Only thing to make these shows interesting is playing Second Coming and Garage Flower in their entirety.

This band is becoming a joke.
So much hype around them, yet what we got in the last (nearly) five years is just two songs... and one of them is shit! And now... cashing in for a couple of UK gigs that are 9 months away. Weird stuff.

Got to point out the including fees standing tickets were £78 for Wembley. Unbelievable, and it sold out at that price!

does anyone care anymore? it's been over 22 years. Besides.....it's The La's sophomore album we all REALLY want. 26 years and counting.

My friend in England asked me if I wanted to join him for Heaton Park gig, but I said no. I've seen them twice and I'll go to see them again if they play in Amsterdam again, but for now, I'm getting losing interest in them. No new material except 2 singles and only huge stadium gigs in Summer every 2 years.

There's a fascinating interview with Steve Lillywhite on Lee Mavers. www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=95742254There's plenty of material for a second album which was written way back then, so a second album would bound to be good, as opposed to 50 odd year old folk offering up shite like All For One. Doubt we'll ever hear it sadly.

Anyone heard Schroeder Mixes? I noticed they aren't on Youtube so I uploaded a few of them.
Hope they don't get deleted.

"Breaking into heaven" lacks the power of the final version, but "Love spreads" is nice: we get to hear different guitar parts. I'm currently listening to the other tracks. Where did you find these mixes? Where they circulating on bootleg? & do you have the Shroeder mixes of "Tears" & "Ten storey love song" as well?

I found them from donstopforum.co.uk this summer when they leaked. I have Tears, Begging You, Daybreak and Ten Story Long Song. I can upload all of them when I have time (when I'm arsed). Probably later this evening at least couple of them.

I'm borrowing one of the comments from fb: "If you don't release an album before these gigs you're deffo taking the piss" This must confirm the album or at least new songs.

Even worse. New gig... I'm still keen to hear new material. I like Ian's solo career and Squire is one of my favourite guitarists. I agree AFO is a bad song (it's decent musically but lyrics are garbage) but I genuinely liked Beautiful Thing.

I'll be fine if the album (if it exists) will be something along that mood.

It pains me to see how much negativity the Roses get these days but they did it to themselves. Promising an album in 2011, selling out a world tour, then going back into the silence only to reemerge again with playing select stadiums and coming out with one terrible track and one great one sucks, then announcing more gigs and no more promise of new material. If Beautiful Thing was the main release and AFO regulated to a b-side, none of this negativity would've happened. Instead, they release them both as two lone singles to maximize profit on fans buying into the hype, all the while getting them to sell out on their greatest hits gigs. At least we got to hear Begging You live with Reni for the first time.
I'd also add that just releasing BT has the hyped up comeback single would still garner negativity since there was still no promise of an album, but their reputation, especially on this forum, wouldn't have gotten mauled like it did when AFO released.

if there was ever a solid reason for oasis to stay in the past... this is it tbh. and The Smiths or any group looking for reunite. It shows that you can reunite. But ffs it's not 1990 anymore a news of why they havent put any music besides the 2 singles wouldnt hurt. Slowdive and Lush showed how to do it.

never had much of desire to see ian brown live, hes created some cool tunes but hes luckiest guy ever to make it as singer when he cant sing for shit.
I mean its ridiculous when you think about it.
