Standard John Lewis advert cover version, but decent! I actually really like the advert aswell, especially since it doesn't attempt to market a toy like the last years..

It's alright but I think they've set quite a high bar and in my opinion this doesn't quite reach it,
Also cover is about as predictable as an Oasis tracklisting fuck up

It could've been a lot worse... Decent Edit : Fuck, I just remembered that it's an actual TV advert that's going to be on for 6-7 weeks and not just an internet video I can watch once then ignore.

Not bad I guess... but I do really hate how 2 months before Christmas every advert is depressing as fuck. Good exposure for Oasis and Noel though!

Haven't heard of her. I just hope it's not some usual whispering faux-emotive very slow piano / acoustic cover with not even remote hint of life or nuance of original tune. Swear those type of covers are like a plague in general cover versions these days and of last 10 years. Who could've guessed eh?

It is a great advert to be fair, and the lyrics do fit the idea of a lonely old man at Christmas time, then finishing it with 'I've been lost I've been found but I don't feel down'. Plus Oasis are back in the news too, and hopefully lots of new fans.

I really like the advert and the cover is pretty good. Not bad I'd say...

Ooh, I like it! Especially the ending. It's cute. And it's always nice to hear Oasis on the TV/radio, even if it's a cover.

How could anyone cry at this? Like, really? The last one was pretty good tbf (apart from Odell fucking up Lennon), but it's not like these things are Pixar movies or anything, the messages are pretty much the same thing, and the delivery is always quite ham-fisted.

Okay. I cried a little bit.
Good exposure anyway, Aurora's version is #16 in the UK right now on iTunes, Oasis' #49, Time Flies is up at #63 (+59 positions in the last 24 hours). Half the World Away never spent a single day in the Top 200 on iTunes UK.

I doubt I can better one of your previous efforts: A sentence so withering, you could be fooled into believing that Morrissey had written it.

Very nice little cover, heartwarming stuff. Certainly ticks all the boxes for a John Lewis advert. Good to see people talking about oasis in a positive way. I think it's an ok cover, but she doesn't own it, in the way Ryan Adams makes wonderwall his own. Maybe after a few more listens I will change my mind. ...Noel must be rubbing his hands together at the thought of another pay cheque!

You're such a Scrooge I can't wait to watch it. Is it sad to be excited about a commercial? Maybe.

Hate the bits where she changes the melody. Why do people do that?
