So I was thinking about Mighty I last night while falling asleep and I was sort of humming it in my head. But it was slightly different, with a subtle hint of bag pipes in the background. In my head, it sounded amazing.
So what do you think? Can you imagine bag pipes in Mighty I?

Hopefully Noel learned his lesson from If I Had A Gun and approached Dying of the Light more lightly. It can still have a strong production and everything but it doesn't need to be focused so much on heavy drums or bass because it doesn't need that. His production ruined EOTR too. The acoustic version ist just way better. On the album it is just too much choir strings drums, and i hate the echoes on noels voice. Style over substance

I don't think it's all that myself, like some people on here, but it is decent. A 7 out of 10 tune for me. Oasis it isn't, but better than the majority of the his last batch of tunes

Style over substance While I kind of agree on the echo, I think the melody played by the strings at the end of the instrumental buildup, just before the last part of the song, is the best moment on the record. Absolutely gorgeous. So no, I wouldn't prefer EOTR without the orchestral arrangement.

However, I do think the choir is a bit too much.

Well what can I say, first listen where's the chorus!! Slightly underwhelmed, as always and then like always few more listens, I just love it. The guitar middle bit, the " I'll find youuuu" bit, the mood of the song, the outro. Bloody brilliant!! I've played it through my car cos my iPhone isn't bloody loud enough- I've just been driving round and round and round playing it buzzing my tits off... Shame I have to wait every 3 or years or so for a record... I want grandiose, and get major goosebumps like the strings on EOTR, I want the kitchen sink thrown at it (last minute of STC) and I want those magical hooks, like IIHAG.....he knows my buttons does our Noel- and BOTMI is just excellent. Well chuffed- literally can't wait for the record.

It's not that i don't like the strings and orchestra i even loved to listen to it on it's own, but i don't know the whole production is strange.

After hearing the instrumental I have to say that Marr's guitar could/should have been louder in some places. There's a wonderful arpeggio buried beneath the chorus which is not really audible in the full version. Yes, it's Monday and I'm feeling a bit fussy...

Didn't like this song at first. Couple of weeks later, I'm starting to think it's one of Noel's best ever tunes.
This and ITHOTM are gonna sound amazing live.

Yeah, best bit of the song is Marr's riff at the end but it's wasted. Rest of the song is a bit meh. Forgettable.

Really love the track! Its one of them stompers that you can bowl into work with in the morning, gives you that extra impetus to give the boss a slap;)))
Absolutely love it, 100% the best NGHFB track so far;)

Probably my favourite Gallagher music video since Falling Down now that I come to think about it. That director guy cracks me up every time I watch it, Noel finally playing a Stratocaster and walking around looking cool as f**k wearing red jeans, you can't go wrong. Very similar to Keep What Ya Got though it must be said.
