Everytime my favourite artists release something I have high expectations and I always don't like their work at first. It happened with the Ballad of the Mighty I, AM, BE etc.
And it happened with this as well, but I like it now. I still prefer everything released from The Balcony besides Business, though.
Anyway the song is doing quite well: #13 on iTunes on tuesday, #19 yesterday; #60 on Spotify and #68 yesterday. The Balcony was #23, basically in the Top 10 considering all the compilations, ready to make its 71st week on chart. So, great reaction overall.

British Breakthrough Act at the BRIT's. Album up at #34, 72nd week on chart. New Single #40 on the Singles Sales Chart with only 3/7 days available, new "mini" tour sold out basically in 2 minutes. Great start for the Bottlemen.

X" This is so Noel Since Sardy is involved the aforementioned solo will sound like a chinese-made toy car recorded through a rusty kitchen sink using a dictaphone from the early '50s.

It's actually the first time we hear this song with a nice quality. I like this version very much and Bondy is a really good guitarist.

First heard this lot about two months ago. I am obsessed with their debut album now. Every bloody song is great and the melodies are brilliant throughout-it's like an Oasis album in that way.
I never even really liked the Strokes/Kooks etc But this lot are just brilliant. Can't wait for their next album now.
Fallout and Hourglass are two of the best songs I've ever heard

I still can't get into these guys. They seem like watered down version of real rock n rollers.

There's nothing that angers me more than seeing this fucking thread still living.

Have they not been dropped by their record label yet?

They sound like another version of The Kooks to me, had a listen to their debut album. It's harmless commercial indie nothing that rock you're world but the kind of stuff that gets teenage girls going crazy for it. Nothing really stands out to me.

Just don't comment, it's pretty easy! And yes, I'd drop a band with a debut album ready to make its 80 week on chart, who wouldn't?
New single '7'. Already played live multiple times. Best moment minute 2:45 onwards, say what you want but the kid knows how to write a chorus. Many can't.

Just hope the rest of their new album is as good as the latter.

Alexis Petridis has written a tremendous review of the new album in The Guardian.

Hmm, don't think it's as good as their debut. The highlights are just as good but there seems to be a lot of really poor filler which imo the first album didn't have. The first 5 songs and 'oxygen' are class, the rest is really forgettable with 'glasgow' and 'heathrow' sounding really poor to me. Maybe a 5-6/10 after a couple of listens. I don't regret pre ordering it, but I expected a bit better
That guardian review was unbearable though. Why would you get some pretentious hipster type who obviously considers himself far too smart/edgy and superior for this type of music to review it? If someone doesn't like it fair enough but all he talks about is how him and everyone else have 'moved on' from guitar pop/rock. Not everybody needs to use music taste to make themselves feel superior nor does every band have to write intelligent thought provoking lyrics or do something new and artsy. Sometimes music can just be enjoy for their sheer fun of it. What a fucking potato!

Petridis is quite the hipster yes, but he can put out good reviews as well.

Alexis Petridis has written a tremendous review of the new album in The Guardian. Well, they kind of hate each other (Bottlemen and Guardian). 80/100 from Mojo though! Also just like Stereophonics this will never be a "Critics' band" I like the album but I still prefer the first one. Closing track Outside is a bloody banger though.

Should I check my PM's too? Don't think so, since sharing official stuff on here - even via PMs - is forbidden due to ProBoards rules. Google is your friend... if you can't wait a few hours when it hits Spotify
