On the subject of the woah-oah's, my Dad heard Hourglass earlier and remarked how the "and I'm so-oh-oh" bit of the chorus sounded just like bit of a song made popular by Nikon adverts, called Welcome Home if I remember rightly.

Killed it again, top crowd.
(BTW, the "hype" thing is total rubbish. The press hate Catfish and the Bottlemen. NME was "against" them and when the magazine asked for a copy of the album (to review it) McCann sent them a pic of his ass. Eventually NME gave to The Balcony a 4/10, or whatever. So, argument unvalid.)

The name of the band sounds like a group Vince from the Mighty Boosh might listen to.

They write about who brings views to their site. And they don't write much about thebottlemen anyway

Van was on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe last night, revealed that none other than Dave Sardy is producing the 2nd album.
Van said that he's wanted Sardy to do his second album since he was 15/16, citing Don't Believe The Truth as an example of why.
He literally praised him to the high heavens, at one point even referring to Sardy as a God.

Shows just how uninspiring this band are if the lead singer and songwriter thinks Don't Believe The Truth is a good album and Dave Sardy a good producer. I give them two years. Max. Then they'll be no more.

Then they'll be no more. I recall him saying Lyla was the song that made him start a band or something along those lines,so there you go,I guess that's why he rates DBTT (and consequently its production) that high...not that I agree with him,but it's understandable I like Catfish And The Bottlemen to be quite honest, surely they're not the most unique band and there's way more interesting sounding bands out there who have come out in the past two years or so,but their first record was a solid body of work with some flashes of brilliance here and there (Cocoon is a great pop rock song in my opinion),and they're a fantastic live band with great energy and a great connection with people I remember thinking the same about Drenge after their first album (even though their sound is way more raw, hence the smaller fanbase),and I was really surprised by how much Eoin has improved as a songwriter after hearing their second (if you haven't done it already I recommend you to listen to it,it's amazing),and I hope it will be the same for Catfish And I know this is an unpopular opinion on here, but give me a good melody and a good tune and I won't give a fuck about the production Is Sardy the right person to bring the best out of them? Probably not,but maybe they'll be able to do that by themselves and nobody will care about Sardy's contribution (or lack of)

I give them two years. Max. Then they'll be no more. I hope they outlast that, and they certainly show promise as they have a lot of fans that are 100% behind them. In any case, Van also claimed in that interview that they've already got the titles of 5 albums planned, what a shame that would be to see them go to waste...

Otherwise I would understand it. DBTT is my least favourite Oasis album (trading places with Heathen Chemistry every once in a while) but it sold well and it was hailed as a return to form at the time. Most of it hasn't aged well though.
