Obviously being a Beady Eye fanboy I think they are better than they are. But that said BE was a very good album and people won't give it the credit or a chance it deserves. I went to an indie club the other night in London where they take requests. Asked for Flick of the Finger quite a few times before the vagina DJ said 'Beady Eye are shit, Liam's voice is shit, I ain't playing it.' I gave him a piece of my mind but that's besides the point... His attitude and opinion on Beady Eye is what the majority of people think and won't even play a decent tune of theirs because of that, or listen to them on the radio or at a gig or festival. Give people sensible Noel and Radio 2 and they'll love it whilst drinking cups of tea n talking about politics. I hope Beady Eye keep going cos I prefer BE to NGHFB but I'm not sure Liam can keep going with the unpopularity. Well said. What irritates me is I don't know where is all the hate coming from. Beadye Eye have some Great tunes, Great live shows and when u look at the percepion ...or their image in comparisong with Noels it is unbelievable. Press describing Noel as genius (what he is) and Liam like a fucking knobhead (what he is not). Liam always seemed to be relaxed, funny and friendly and ...he is still public enemy No1. He even stopped the nonsence that they are better than Oasis. Well, I guess lot of us would go fucking mental after a week in Liam s shoes Exactly. Everyone thinks he's a complete knob head, when actually most of the time he seems really cool giving time to his fans, having photos done in curry houses with all the staff etc. I love noel but that press conference a while ago about oasis split was manipulative and fake, he had the whole population and press on his side where he wanted them. I think the press coverage of Noel being sensible and liam being a knob has a lot to do with it. The stories about liam make me laugh but they are obviously dramatised, like trying to ride a dog! But I love him, the stories, BE, live shows, and love the rock n roll attitude. Much more than NGHFB. I don't want to make this a 'who do we prefer, liam or Noel', it's just the general publics perception of Noel is entirely different to liam. And it shouldn't BE (no pun intended). |

Is this comparison with Noel really necessary?
He wrote some songs, did an album and then played it to the people, it was a success, it hasn't got anything to do with Beady Eye
And let me say this, I hate the Noel is a genius Liam is a knob thing as much as I hate the Liam is himself and he's a true rockstar Noel is a vagina who just manipulates the media thing (not referring to anyone in particular, just talking in general, before you start a war)
Personally I prefer Noel, but I wish they were both doing well and I'm sad for the situation Beady Eye are in right now, I've seen them live and thought they were amazing, but maybe they need to stop fpr a while and think about what they really want to do

Sometimes on here Noel is help up a bit higher ...me I know Noel is a better buisnessman. But he makes just as many fuck ups but even he admits he does them quietly ,,it's what get Liam's in trouble and why I love him |

Been saying that here for years , how there viewed by public is fair and relevant because by that standard is how there slip ups ate blown out of proportion. The point is that people think Noel's a genius and Liam's a knob so they buy Noel's record but not Liams, but I wouldn't blame Noel for that
DGSS came out even before that press conference
The truth is that people give Noel more credots because he was the main songwriter and the genius behind Oasis, but we're talking about Beady Eye, not about how many copies they sold compared to Noel, and sadly they haven't been able to promote well both their albums

Back in the late 90s my mom ran the life of the senior vp for bear sterns ( ran it for 25 years actually ). AnywAy she gained instant respect and street cred from the London office who did major biz here , cause she would hum live forever and dlbia. She adores oasis. I played it so much. she became a authority on all things cool thanks to OASIS at the trade center |

That copmarison with Noel was not necessary. In other words, most of the ppl around me had "love them or hate them" attitude to Oasis. These days it applies to Liam only. But I reckon it is because Noel has status of "royalty" if u know what I mean...he´s in the same group of the ones like weller etc so ppl think twice before slagging him off.
