Guys, can you recommend me some albums? I've been listening to Temples and Bill Ryder Jones for a while now. Bring it on!

Lately i've been into neopsychedelia such as Tame Impala (way a lot), Temples, Jagwar Ma. Plus other new bands such as Drenge and Peace. What other new bands like this do you know? Anyone? I know they're not 2014 but Beach House's Bloom album released last year was fantastic - if you're maybe looking for similar dreamy psychedlic style pop.

Bloom was/still is soooooooooo good, so good album. Just fantastic. It was absolutely one of my best 2013 albums. nahuel89p, I've seen Drenge and Peace at London Calling (showcase style indoor festival in Paradiso twice a year. I'm a regular visitor of the festival since 2008). Peace sounded like The Strokes in a very safe mode, but Drenge were really loud. I quite like Drenge's debut album.

I'd have to say it was my favourite record from last year, I'd never heard of them prior to this being released but they made an immediate impact when I listened, rarely a band does that as it usually takes me time to get accustomed to the sound of the band.

Bloom was actually released in 2012. Hard to believe. Time flies. I remember the first time I played it. It was a cloudy morning in Nashville and I was on the way to the bus stop to pick my girl friend up from the mega bus stop. I remember It leaked really early maybe sometime in March. They're due for a new album very soon. Honestly I think Beach House is one of the best bands out there in terms of current bands. They're certainly one of my favorites. They're one of the few bands out there that make me really excited, when they announce a new album. I really really love them. Teen Dream is definitely in my top ten favorite albums of all time. Devotion and Bloom aren't too far behind either. I have enjoyed everything that they have done. Seriously all of their albums are at least very good. I've been lucky enough to see them multiple times and I must say they put on an incredible show. I wonder if they are planning on a new album anytime soon.

Yep, totally agree Cast, an album I loved so much I got the rest of their back catalogue. Bloom has a lovely yearning melancholy to it that instantly resonates with me. 2012 it was released? Oh well, that's good considering I don't have to wait as long for their next album!

Well, I didn't know there was a new Ryan Adams this year so that counts. Really liking this album a lot.

I had never heard of Beach House before and Bloom was the first album of theirs I heard. As soon as I heard "Lazuili", I was sold.
I recently found a new? band from New York called Heaven. I only heard their live recording at Mercury Lounge earlier this year, but I quite like them. Their music is similar to Television, New Order and The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Gave TOPS new album "PIcture You Staring" a listen it is a lovely slice of indie-pop and classic 70's AM radio. Sounds warm, faded, and laid back, a lovely end of the summer record. "Way to Be Loved" is one of my favorite songs this year. It won't change your life but if you want some smooth simple melodic pop songs then this is right up your alley.

Heard "Kathleen" by a new bamd from Wales called Catfish & The Bottlemen (what a name!) yesterday and I liked it. Their debut album will be out next week. I'll keep my eyes on them as long as they're not called "the next big thing" by NME.

Not their best album but have a listen at The Raveonettes song Endless Sleeper from their new album. They are not the best band in the world, but have a few great songs. And I'm sure some of you guys will like them.
I thinks their previous album Observator is better, though.
Here's a song from that album, for you who's interested:
They are on Spotify as well.

Best since 29 IMO But yes, it is a career highlight! I always forget about 29 but it's very good. We can agree to disagree that it's his best album since 2005

I'm listening to JAWS debut album, and it's pretty good. Released yesterday, and you can stream it on Spotify.

Julian's album with the Voids is streaming haven't listened to it yet.
I'm spinning Mr Twin Sister's new album. It is a great sounding album. The production is sublime. Their debut album had its moments but it didn't really grab me all that much. Meet the Frownies is really the only song of theirs that get regular repeats now. Debut just lacked something, probably great melodies, but it had character.
This new is an improvement for sure. Might end up making the top 15 for the year. In the House of Yes is one of the best songs this year. It's just funky, smooth, and electronic its a sound that not many bands can pull off.

Just haven't felt compelled for some strange reason.

Is the band Twin Peaks any good? I listened to their new album yesterday. It was ok. The best tunes (in my opinion) are I Found A New Way, Mirror Of Time, Sloop J D and Sweet Thing. But I've only listened to it twice, so it might grow on me. I have to recommend another new album, though. I'm not sure if anyone have mentioned them in this thread already, but anyway. The band is called JAWS and the album's called Be Slowly. Haha, just saw that I had mentioned them just a few posts earlier. Sorry.

Yeah I really like Jaws' Be Slowly, it's one of my favorites from this year. It reminds me of the 1975 and the Stone Roses
