Rumors swirling James Murphy will produce the upcoming New Order album. He denies it, the band hinted at it. We shall see.

Another new Foxygen song. This upcoming album seems like it'll be over the map. I just hope they don't lose the plot like MGMT did.

A little over half way done with new Ryan Adams record. It is a very listenable and enjoyable record. It reminds me a lot of Love Is Hell. Ashes and Fire was a solid release but it got a little boring after repeated listens. That's a problem that I've had with Ryan's stuff since his 2005 hey day. His work is always consistently solid but his major releases can sound a little safe. I prefer Ryan when he just throws the Spam Message: sink at everything. Easy Tiger and Cardinology are filled with a solid set of songs but I'll take the madness of III/IV over them.
No doubt Ryan has matured and this is still a relatively safe release from him, considering his wild past, but this self-titled one has a bit more bite to it. I think it will hold my attention better than his more recent stuff. He is one of the finest American songwriters out there. Jeff Tweedy and him are continuing the great American songwriting tradition that has gone from Dylan, to Petty, to Bruce, to Westerberg. His run from Whiskeytown(the mid 90's) to 2005 is one of the best songwriting runs that I've ever heard.

A little over half way done with new Ryan Adams record. i really like it, not a song i don't like. A simple album but its well produced and the guitars sound great. Good lyrics and vocals as well!

Looking forward to U2's new album - oh wait, this isn't the 'Albums you are looking forward to 2025' thread.
Looking forward to my purchase of Ryan Adam's new album. Can't wait. Heard a few tunes I've been really digging - incidentally Noel's drummer Jeremy Stacey continues his association with Adams and drums on the record. Good production it seems unlike Noel's!

Cheers for that LIB, seems as if my demands have been fulfilled instantly! Very interesting.... looks like the usual sledgehammer approach to promotion from U2 (as is expected) but fingers crossed its something to do with a new album. Not holding my breath - heard reports they'd pushed it back (again) to 2015 months back, haven't heard anything since but its promising. I'm not looking for a War/Joshua Tree/ Achtung Baby style masterpiece but at least something better than their last two mediocre albums.

Looks like you were wrong about the U2 album coming out in 2025 Can't believe this myself, I love this band! FREE ALBUM! Following in the footsteps of what The Smashing Pumpkins did with Machina II in 2000 and Radiohead with In Rainbows in 2007. Only difference was U2 announced an album and had it released within 20 seconds all over the world. The other bands announced their albums and a week later you got it free all over the world.

At the time, I had been getting Machina2 all the day with slowly broadband. U2 new album is going to be out for free. Meanwhile some albums that were released about 20 years ago and we've already got are £14. That's 2014!

Lately i've been into neopsychedelia such as Tame Impala (way a lot), Temples, Jagwar Ma. Plus other new bands such as Drenge and Peace. What other new bands like this do you know? Anyone?
