Mmh,I don't think The Dying Of The Light won't be on the album... Remember.........Noel had demoed "The Dying of The Light" at the very end of the HFB sessions. The tracks LlAM mentioned could all have been additional demos since he probably didn't need to do TDOTL twice. Granted Freaky Teeth does appear, a track we know he recorded during HFB. Who knows. |

I have to say I'm not keen on the Dying Of The Light. I think it's the line about 'I can't afford the bus fare'. Comes across a bit awkward from a man of Noel's means!

That's an observation from the Guardian's review of the album in a years time. I don't think that line is meant to be taken literally. And if it is, how much is the bus fare?

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Noel recording at State of The Ark Studios last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

I've always been under the notion that DOYS could have, should have been so much more. I tracklisting like this gives Oasis the swan song they so much deserved. - Bag It Up - The Turning - Waiting For The Rapture - The Shock of The Lightning - I'm Outta Time - Come On Outside - Falling Down - To Be Where There Is Live (Richard Fearless version) - I Want To Live In A Dream In My Record Machine - Boy With The Blues That would have been much better. If ASGOG had been written in time (I don't know if it was) then I'd have replaced Boy With the Blues with it. If Oasis ever does get back together then I hope it becomes entirely Noel written albums. I've had enough of LAG tunes. Yep, agree about any future Oasis album, however unlikely. If there are to be any songs from LAG, one at a maximum, most likely a Liam tune as the best LAG tunes are actually his. I always think of LAG contributions to Oasis albums a bit like some amateur artists painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa. |
