Am I the only one who is slightly underwhelmed by that song? Not a big fan of it either. I think it's just a typical Noel acoustic song. If I had a Gun had a lot more potential in my opinion. I don't see how much better the dying of the light can get, especially in a professional recording. What is he going to do? Make it more acoustic? With that song in soundcheck form, what you see is what you get. The ceiling for it can't be that much higher. |

If anything, Noel managed to dumb Had A Gun down from the sound check version. As for production ideas, I'd leave that to the professionals if I were you |

Well, songs sound "haunting" during soundchecks pretty fast as it's probably echoing a bit. But I agree on the fact that it had potential and that it's full potential was wasted a bit. The production made it sound a bit lifeless.

I cant remember most of the already known songs besides Revolution song, come on outside and you'll be crashing when you burn(on Lord dont slow me down dvd) but those are the only ones that should make the cut on b-sides only(and let shit like oh toad unreleased).
