Noel is almost this good! We got your endless love for the guy in the video, so please spare it just for yourself instead of spamming all over the place with his video. Thank you.

Freaky Teeth, Oh Lord!, She Must Be One Of Us [less whistles please!] & Just Let It Come Down Over Me - All album worthy. I'd hate to see any of these except Freaky Teeth on the album. B-side material, nice little songs, but miles away from what Noel should be aiming for. Hasn't he supposedly written some 40 songs for this album? Give us some new stuff.

Why do people keep mentioning Freaky Teeth? It's already been released.
By that logic he could put Angel Child and Alive on the album too.

I agree, he should be aiming higher, and I too believe these to be nothing much more than nice little songs. However could any of them have made the last album? Easily possible. 'Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks' is no better than these tracks IMO. I hope none of them make it, and he puts out an album of classics, however I think that's pretty unlikely. The only tracks, that I've heard so far, that I'd be disappointed with if they didn't make the cut would be 'The Dying Of The Light', '[Maybe!]' and 'Come On Outside'. Oh and by the way, THIS IS NEW STUFF. These songs weren't meant to be in the publics hands, but have been leaked or sound check recorded without Noel knowing. The downside of listening to leaked material is that it ruins that first play experience (when you listen to the full release), and songs (to you) will already be old and so will lack the replay value of a brand new track. Noel isn't going to abandon songs that he's put a huge amount of effort into, just because some kid recorded him playing it during a soundcheck. To him, any of these will be brand new releases.

Either these tracks were clearly deemed not worthy of their time to rerecord (when they've got songs like 'Live Forever' and 'D'You Know What I Mean' hanging around), OR, they were very happy with the demos and didn't believe they could or should improve upon them. I haven't heard Noel say anything about that demo of Freaky Teeth being the definitive version.

Following that logic, again, makes Alive, Angel Child and probably even Alone On A Rope eligible for his upcoming album, yet there are quite a lot of posts focusing specifically on Freaky Teeth but on neither of the others that stand an equal chance of being included.

'Freaky Teeth' (the demo) is part of a bonus compilation of demos available with the special edition of a video album. A somewhat obscure item. Alive, Angel Child and Alone On A Rope are all b-sides to singles that can easily be found on iTunes or similar. Whilst recording 'Be Here Now' Noel could never of cherry picked b-sides to strengthen the album, that would have been shameless. Could he have included a rerecording of a somewhat obscure demo of a song that existed on an imaginary video album from a few years previous??? I doubt many people would of moaned. Except maybe the hardcore fans... oh wait Not sure why so many are focused on Freaky Teeth. It's just an alright track for me. Probably because it's been played live for so long.

Noel's not going to rule out a track just because an old version is already circulating. Stop The Clocks, Record Machine, Let There Be Love - there's a precedent. If he feels the track fits, then he'll put it on.

Imagine if Noel released that exact tracklist. Haha the reaction on this forum would cause the universe to implode. I reckon it will contain 2/3rds of this list. In my opinion: Dying Of The Light - Single Worthy [Maybe!] - Potential to be a pretty special album track. Come On Outside - Decent Album Track. Should have been on Dig Out Your Soul. Freaky Teeth, Oh Lord!, She Must Be One Of Us [less whistles please!] & Just Let It Come Down Over Me - All album worthy. [Slower Than The Speed of Magic!] - Could go either way... may have vocals we don't know about. God Help Us All & Don't Stop The Happening- Really not my favourites, but wouldn't be too surprised to see either of them on the album. Revolution Song - B-Side. It's failed to make 5 albums for a reason. Surely NGHFB2 will be strong enough to oust it once again and send it to its ultimate fate as a lowly B-side. Please. That's what, at least 7 album worthy songs IMO. From Definitely Maybe to NGHFB1 (Minus The Masterplan) all official albums have contained 10-12 track. Thats a pretty remarkable lack of variety over 8 releases. Would love to hear a proper 18 song epic, but I highly doubt it. Forgive my stupidity but what's this track [Maybe!] Haven't heard of it before.

And what song is "Slower than the Speed of Magic"?? I thought that's just a made-up album name for all the unreleased songs we have.

I don't mind freaky teeth being on the album. I think if it is on the album, the level of we've heard this before could he offset depending on how many songs he puts on there that we haven't heard.
I'd be fine with a 10 track album with 3 songs we've heard before and 7 we haven't.

Pretty sure that Noel will have written a lot of songs in the 2 years or so since the last album sessions. He has no need to use songs that weren't good enough for previous albums. I wouldn't mind "Come On It's Alright" and I'm sure "The Dying Of The Light" was purposely saved but I'll be pretty miffed if "Revolution Song" makes the cut or even "God Help Us All".

True, it's easy to forget that all the leaks are still new songs for everybody but die hard fans. However many of those were written and recorded as demos in 2010, i.e. before HFB1, so they're not really new as in reflective of what Noel is doing right now. I agree with spaneli that 3-7 should be fine - most people agree that the Dying of the Light and Come On Outside are definitely album material, and one odd song from the rest would be no problem (especially the less well known ones - still dying to hear Don't Stop the Happening which sounds amazing). Apart from that I'm sure Noel has changed things up a little, he usually does. From THT in 2002 to TIOBI in 2005 to Falling Down etc. in 2008 to TDOYAM in 2011...always something a little different than before.

Noel should have released a proper version of Freaky Teeth as a single to promote his DVD International Magic Live at The O2. Even if it was just an iTunes only track similar to Lord Don't Slow Me Down. Backed maybe with a another Amorphous Androgynous remix. I think he missed a great opportunity.
I would save God Help Us All and Revolution Song for an Oasis anthology. Till this very day I think of Record Machine and Stop The Clocks as Oasis songs.
Come On Outside sure it's a strong tune but do you really think Noel is going to use choir again on his second album? Maybe he'll ditch the choir. The song reminds of a hybrid of Force of Nature and Freaky Teeth.

Come On Outside is a good tune - I don't think it's the great tune that many seem to think here, but it's decent. But I don't understand the need for its inclusion, particularly if Freaky Teeth is on it (which is far superior in my opinion - speed that up and you've got an adrenaline fuelled tune). But mainly we don't need it because we've heard it in its basic full form already with the Dig Out Your Soul version. Unless he drastically reworks it and makes it a bit more colourful production wise, then I would like to see it. If not, it's needless I feel.

Well it didn't stop Noel from using two decade old tunes from Oasis on HFB. We all knew those tracks very very well by October 2011. Will history repeat itself with Come On Outside and Freaky Teeth? Strong chance. Hell, even Revolution Song is a wild card at this point. Hopefully Noel turns over all his cards on Monday. I'm talking release dates, album title, track listing and new single released. Bring it Noel.
