Definitely check out The Turning! One of the best things they did post-BHN.

I struggle to listen to any songs with Noel singing, apart from Don’t Look Back In Anger and The Masterplan, but that’s because the songs are too good in their own right. I just never liked his voice. He’s not a bad singer per se, just hasn’t got the voice to carry a whole song, let alone a full album like now.
I understood him doing a fair few songs in Oasis gigs, but when he started doing 3 songs on an album, I thought that was way too much when you have a lead singer who only sings.

I haven't listened to The Masterplan (the song) in a long time. I don't dislike it but I don't know, I feel it isn't as amazing as I thought it was when I first got into the band.

I love it and always will. Anyway, to be honest I've never really got the love for Slide Away and I've never been a massive fan of the song. It's ok but there's so many better songs on Definitely Maybe.

Still think it's incredible One of my favourite opening lines ever, great lyrics, great melody, a guitar solo that almost doesn't sound like Oasis and that brilliant sense of "let's sing this out as loud as we can with our arms around each other even if this is not an outright happy song" that made the band and Noel's songwriting so special

- Never to this day heard Dig out your soul outside I'm outta time and Shock of the lightning.. no desire too - Noel's solo stuff is the most interesting stuff since the BHN days, dont care about Liam solo on bit (please dont start a fight) - Noel putting the great B sides from 94-96 on the respective album would have killed the Oasis legacy in my opinion - The Hindu Times got me into the band justfullofrandomshit would be a better user name for you

I love the Hindu Times. Energetic and everything you need from Oasis comeback. Never understood the love for the demo on here, nor the way over the top bashing for Heathen Chemistry as a whole.

What about Talk Tonight and Half The World Away? Talk Tonight is one of my least favourite Oasis songs As for HTWA, it’s a good song but I don’t go out of my way to listen To be fair, there’s probably other individual tracks I don’t mind. Just in general I tend to enjoy Oasis songs far less with Noel on vocals, and felt 3 tracks on an album by the end was just too much. It always felt it disrupted the flow of the album for me and made them feel a bit disjointed. Maybe because their voices were quite a contrast. I always felt it was the contrast that made me dislike it, because obviously the The Beatles had multiple vocalists, but because their music had so much harmony and unison vocals, it always blended and never sounded out of place even when the next song had a different lead vocalist . But with an Oasis album, I was getting two contrasting voices. One which I really like, and one which I don’t like much. I dunno, I’m sure many people like that. It just stopped me really getting lost in the album experience.

Had Record Machine and a couple of other songs Noel was saving had made it I think it would've been great. Totally agree with the comment on Noel's solo stuff. I've listened to each beady eye and LG album and they just don't do anything for me beyond the odd song here and there. I love Noel's solo stuff.

I love the Hindu Times. Energetic and everything you need from Oasis comeback. Never understood the love for the demo on here, nor the way over the top bashing for Heathen Chemistry as a whole. Production on it is really flat and the drums are buried in the mix. The strums of the guitars are as loud! Liam's vocal isn't great on it either, they've heavily used pro-tools on it.

I like the rawness of his voice on it. It's by no means perfect, but i dont listen to Liam for perfect. Agree about the drums but you could say that for some of Oasis best songs. Morning Glory for instance is painfully produced in that regard.

I don't listen to Oasis anymore with Noel on vocals. Years ago I could hear something, but it never appealed to me much. Even when I watch the DVDs of Oasis I skip the part where Noel sings. Don't Look Back in Anger has never fascinated me, perhaps because it is sung by Noel, and I never listen to it. I hate mucky fingers.

As we're on it and I'm an idiot, my top 10 Noel sung songs:
Don't Look Back In Anger The Masterplan The Importance Of Being Idle Half The World Away D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman Where Did It All Go Wrong? Waiting For The Rapture One Way Road Idler's Dream Falling Down

As for confessions, Morning Glory is a great, energetic track, but I don't think it'd make my top 5 off the album, and I feel like it's the worst out of all those brilliant early rockers (Supersonic, Cigarettes And Alcohol, Rock N Roll Star, Bring It On Down, Some Might Say)

Where Did It All Go Wrong? or Step Out (can't pick ) EDIT: Falling Down and Bonehead's Bank Holiday need to be up there too but I don't know which songs I would replace for it.

Waiting For The Rapture One Way Road Idler's Dream Falling Down I'd have the same songs but would put in Talk Tonight instead of Spaceman. Also Force of Nature gets an honorable mention. The way Noel belts out the chorus is really damn good.
