Just listened to the album a couple of times and I am just in love with AKA.Broken Arrow, also EOTR is bloody majestic & epic tune I just love Noels voice,Record machine too is epic sounding and as for Stop the Clocks I was worried it would be overproduced and butchered but it's bloody good and I love the last instrumental part an epic ending to the album,I dont know why but to me Dream on lacks something cant quite figure what maybe a catchy chorus so thats the weakest tune for me,FOR NOW The chorus seems to fizzle out immediately. Something about it sounded really familiar and I kinda expected a chord change or something after the 'dream on' bit. Can't really explain it but there's something very unsatisfying about it. You're spot on ,give this man a drink or a pub actually! ;D

Unsatisfying is a great word for it. Maybe Dream On should've been a B-Side considering the number of the Kinks-y tracks on the album. IMO it's the weakest of them. But who am I to question God's vision?

I wasn't really into Stop the Clocks with the demo version... but on this album, it's a masterpiece !

God, I love Stranded On The Wrong Beach. I never would've thought Noel could do angry/bitter that well.

I really wanted to wait until my pre-order arrived, but couldn't...
Really outstanding album I think. Obviously some tracks are songer then others but then most albums are like that.
Noel's vocal's on EOTR are some of the strongest I've hearsd from him in a long time. You do find yourself wondering how certain songs would sound with Liam on, but then they wouldn't be the same would there, for good or bad?
To me there's a track for every mood, and that was something Oasis were so good at doing.

i agree that what a life plugs perfectly in there...
it's better as a album track, not much for a single. still a good song.
Broken Arrow is fantastic

Not a weak song on the album. Not every song is epic, but not weak either. Good job Noel.

EOTR - Could've been brilliant, but wasted opportunity imo. Don't like all the strings and choir on it, and I miss the haunting piano from the soundcheck version. Also, should be slowed down a bit and get rid of the thumping drumbeat which makes it sound too upbeat. Looking forward to an acoustic version as that should solve most of the above problems. Dream On - Love this, reminds me a bit of My Sister Lover. One of a handful of songs i think could be improved by Liam though. IIHAG - One of my favourites, brilliant tune TDOYAM - Good but doesn't really stand out on the album to me Record Machine - Preferred the demo version; strings on this sound unnecessary and I miss the bass on the demo. Still excellent though AKA...WAL - Good but not great, doesn't really stand out but stops the album from getting too samey SBAJF - My least favourite song on the album, doesn't do anything for me at all. I think an acoustic version would be better though. AKA...BA - Intro reminds me of How Soon Is Now for some reason, Noel did say it sounds Smiths-y though. Favourite song on the album, absolutely love it and a chorus to die for. Should be incredible live SOTWB - Surprised by this; expected it to be a gentle ballad for some reason. Like it, could really do with Liam singing it though STC - Average, never been a fan. I like the 'freak-out' at the end, but no big loss they're not playing it live imo.

Noel's voice is presently better than Liams.
10 years ago this wasn't the case, but it is now.
Get off it. Noel's album is just better than Beady Eye's album
It isn't difficult to accept. ----> LGfaver

it's called REVIEWING and ANALIZING an album. I can't be a fucking blind sheep and call everything the man does great, because i have a brain of my own and i'm an objective person. I can be a fan, but i'll never be a fanboy. those people are just downright sad. It´s not about being a fanboy or not, it´s about listening to an album you have been waiting for years and enjoy the moment and try to be happy with it, not looking the bad side of everything Stop feeding the troll.

Record Machine's original prowess is lost. His vocals are lost and the epic guitar solo is lost.

Anyone notice a fading echo in Record Machine of Stop the Clocks around 3:59 epic things

LMAO that's exactly what being a fanboy is. "Oh, i've been waiting for this forever... im just so glad it's here, i'm gonna enjoy it, fuck it, even if i don't at first, im gonna make myself enjoy it and overlook any faults the final product may have, YES!" JESUS! it's just fucking absurd. So because you might like the whole album that means your a fanboy? Get a grip you cretin. By the way what did you give BDI album? lol no need for name calling. i know even racist people don't like being called racist but come on, why are you getting so defensive? As for what i said about BDI's album... and you can ask the regulars on here, i fucking lost it when they first released Bring The Shite. I tell it like it is, as always, and when DGGSS came out, i said B&S was shit(because it is), eventhough some people liked it. All the songs are not strong, but there are a handful of highlights throughout the album.

First off: What a night that was last night. Kudos to the Germans and the dude who told us about the site. I was amazed when that baby appeared just after midnight. Amazing moments.
Nackered today as I stayed up late listening. Only had time to stick EOTR, RM, and BA on my 'pod today. Walked to work feeling 50 feet tall
Stand outs are obvious: EOTR, RM, IIHAG of course, BA, and STC. All fucking godlike, love the massive production, strings and choirs. The choirs remind me of SOTSOG sound quite a lot. Broken Arrow is probably my favorite 'unheard' track so far. Dream On andWrong Beach are growing on me a lot. Jesus Freaks and WAL are my least favorite I think, but it's early days of course. I too early to be objective, but early signs are this is a fucking masterpiece. Although I never though I'd heard Noel write the lyric 'Move your body next to mine"

Honestly, I don't think either record is better than the other. They're two different genres in my opinion. Frankly, both records have highs and lows. Crop and cut both and you arguably have THE BEST OASIS RECORD TO DATE.
If anything, after listening to Noel's record and having spent most of 2011 listening to Beady Eye, I've drawn the conclusion that the brothers Gallagher are not better off on their own but rather they need each other. Together they are at the their best. Fragmented, they produce good music but certainly not at the level or velocity of Oasis.

It's a brilliant album, I've had Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks and AKA... Broken Arrows on repeat for a while. The only tune I don't really like is Stranded on The Wrong Beach, but I enjoyed it more on my second listen. Record Machine is also a bit disappointing, something about it seems off. Stop The Clocks is the perfect end though, brilliant last minute! I wish he was playing that live.

lgfaver`s statements are a bit straining. but he`s got his opinion.. I remember how much I was looking forward to DOYS. And on the day I got home and put it in the stereo I was just listening, waiting for low points, which stopped me from enjoying it. Totally destroyed by the time HHL came on. Did someone in this thread mention IOT? Was embarrassed by that song. First half of DOYS> second half NGHFB>DGSS
