Sure, you say the album is great BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT... You only seem to find the bad side of things, and it´s annoying and a fuckin disgrace, man Try to enjoy good things in life a little, for god´s sake PS. And thank you for givin me k- faver, you are a lovely lonely guy it's called REVIEWING and ANALIZING an album. I can't be a fucking blind sheep and call everything the man does great, because i have a brain of my own and i'm an objective person. I can be a fan, but i'll never be a fanboy. those people are just downright sad. It´s not about being a fanboy or not, it´s about listening to an album you have been waiting for years and enjoy the moment and try to be happy with it, not looking the bad side of everything

Where's the fuckin' saw and the wine glasses? I couldn't hear them.
I like the album, anyway. Stand out tracks for me has to be Everybody's On The Run, If I Had A Gun..., AKA... Broken Arrow, (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach and Stop The Clocks. Too much choir and strings in the chorus of Record Machine, for my taste.
The weakest for me is Dream On, AKA... What A Life! and Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks. But I hope they'll grow on me. Don't think AKA... What A Life! will grow on me, though.

It seems to be a quality album. I'm very happy that TDOYAM sets the standard of the production and not IIHAG. I enjoy all the songs so far, how time will treat them is hard to tell. What A Life is the only song that i already find boring, and i can't come to terms with the recording of IIHAG - it's beyong me why one of the strongest tunes have been so badly treated in the recording and mixing process, while the rest sounds so great.

I am really impressed with the album. Think it may be a little top heavy, however maybe dram on and stranded are growers.
must say the EOTR and RM are highlights for sure.

stranded is definitely up there with eotr for my fave on the album. dream on and jesus freaks are the weakest. a solid 7.5 / 8 out of 10 for the album, not as good as i'd hoped but good none the less.

I've only listened once to most songs right now so it's quite early to 'review' the album but a few things I can say already: - there's more variation in style of songs and in the way how Noel uses his voice than I thought there would be, which is a very good thing as my major concern was I would get bored of Noels voice - The songs are lyrically way better than any album Noel has done so far. The songs are also very well crafted and layered. However, I'm not conviced as of yet that if this really makes the album better or not? Cause we can complain about the lyrics of Supersonic as much as we want, it's still one of my (and a lot of people's) favourite songs. - I'm not a big fan of the long intro's and outro's (the kids on RM, the sea on SOTRB etc) - Noel should'nt have played all the instruments himself. He should've used more people in the studio which would've created more opinions which would've resulted in a better use of the instruments. Especially the drums are annoying me on some tracks. It's basicly the same drumbeat over and over. - EOTR is the best song Noel has done in AGES. - The outro on STC is still annoying as fuck. as fuck. as fuck. as fuck. Guitar solo saves it a bit though. That's about it so far. Enjoying the album but can't say it's the best he's ever done and the best album from the decade and all that stuff like some of you crazy ones on here It'll take a few moer listens and I don't think it will ever be my favourite album as it's a bit too slow for me at moments. I'm looking forward to the live shows though, those should be epic! Less than a month now till I see him And one more thing: There's no point in posting bad stuff about DGSS in this thread. It doesn't make NGHFB any better or worse. Both albums are out for us to enjoy. Do it if you want, don't if you don't want.

I like What a Life anyway but I REALLY like how it flows after Record Machine. In fact the whole If I Had a Gun ---> What a Life section flows excellently. I just hope the whole album follows suit when I listen to it fully.

I refuse to listen to it until I buy it from HMV next week, but I'm delighted to hear that the musical palette has been expanded rather than just playing it safe with guitars on the last few Oasis albums. Choirs and strings and all that - well for me you can't have enough! I've always thought Oasis tunes always had that euphoric feel that deserves such treatments, so I'm glad Noel has done this for his solo album.

you have 8 posts, and you're a idiot.
this album is far more than average. I don't know how great it is yet... I"m still raking it in.
it's a good album I can say the least. I'll let you guys know what I think later on. It is not average though. It's more than that. EOTR is superb, best song since SOTSOG era I would think or something.

finally listened for first time, wonderful album, really can't see a track i'd skip, although its only first listen, this really is as good as it gets, if any noel "fan" is not impressed with this album you may as well move on because you obviously want something else. terrific stuff, on first listen 9/10.

Everybodys on the run If i had a gun Death of you and me
Are the stand out tracks for me. Dream on is very underwhelming considering the arse licking reviews i read i was expecting something a bit more melodic and catchy in the chorus. Broken Arrow is alright, very DBTT sounding. I like soldier boys and jesus freaks, the 4 new tunes we heard were basically what i feared the reviews said "Average kinksy tunes" not bad tunes like just nothing special really.
Stop the clocks favours better than Record machine with the added production i reckon. What a life could have been a great tune if he'd have been a bit more adventurous with it instead of just leaving it at the one idea he had for it
EOTR and IIHAG are really fucking special and up there with any of the greats hes ever wrote. You couldnt expect an album full of them kinda tunes i realise that but i did expect a little better of the four unheard ones
Thats my first impression anyway listening to it start to finish for the first time. the ones am least impressed with might grow on me, ill give them a good fucking listen for sure so

The very very very beginning of STC makes me think of Chasing Cars.....
The songs are getting stronger with each listen. WAL works better in the context of the album compared to being a stand alone track, Beach has grown on me greatly, as has Dream On. Still can't get into SBAJF yet.
SBAJF and WAL the weakest for me, but not horrible.

Just listened to the album a couple of times and I am just in love with AKA.Broken Arrow, also EOTR is bloody majestic & epic tune I just love Noels voice,Record machine too is epic sounding and as for Stop the Clocks I was worried it would be overproduced and butchered but it's bloody good and I love the last instrumental part an epic ending to the album,I dont know why but to me Dream on lacks something cant quite figure what maybe a catchy chorus so thats the weakest tune for me,FOR NOW

I forgot anything was even playing during Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks. Really weak song.
I think it's a decent album. There are more moments of mediocrity than I was expecting. Stop The Clocks, Everybody's On The Run and Broken Arrow the highlights for me. The chorus to Broken Arrow is fantastic!

Something about it sounded really familiar and I kinda expected a chord change or something after the 'dream on' bit. Can't really explain it but there's something very unsatisfying about it.
