Rating of the album: 9.5/10 Being an utter four letter word: Priceless There's some things that make this forum good. For everything else, there's UGHF. Pretty sure that counts as praise coming from you NL4E (my utter four letter word amigo!) @ Eva... did it surprise you?

Really glad that most of the people on here are really rating Noels album. I'm still holding out until the official release until I listen to it properly but reading everyones positive receptions have made me feel all the more confident I will enjoy it.
I get the feeling most people think it pisses all over the BDI album (which I actually quite liked!), but at the same time I think hopefully it will give Liam & co the incentive to make their 2nd album all the more stronger...

Listened a few times (first time all the way through this morning) and I don't see this being ana lbum I play all too often.
It's OK for what it is, but too many of the songs just blend in together. Still can't tell the difference between Wrong Beach and Dream On, for example.

And to think we had to endure tosh like Aint Got Nothing and Nature of fucking reality when Noel had all these tunes stored away. Had bonehead and guigsy not left (been kicked out), these songs probably would have been on an oasis album.

And to think we had to endure tosh like Aint Got Nothing and Nature of fucking reality when Noel had all these tunes stored away. Had bonehead and guigsy not left (been kicked out), these songs probably would have been on an oasis album. You say that, but then again if Noel had put his foot down and said only his songs would go on the albums then the band would have broken up many years before it did. Noel was doing the right thing by letting other band members contribute song ideas, he was allowing the band to be more of a democracy to keep everyone happy. I'm sure Noels quite intelligent, I'm certain somewhere along the line he probably said to himself that he'd save these songs for either future Oasis albums or his solo album. I remember him talking alot about taking a long break after DOYS and doing a solo album anyway, long before Oasis finally broke up. I think Liam just made that decision all the more clearer for him when they had the row...

Apart from the heap of shite known as Dream On, I like every track. 8/10 by my watch and contrary to the reviews I enjoy the second half more than the first. Record Machine onwards is killer.
