The 'Black Label' line of Pretty Green is WAY overpriced! Even much of the Green Label is too, some of the stuff in the sales seems to be pretty fairly priced though. Guess Liams just tryin to compete with the Fred Perrys n John Smedleys, if he put out a load of cheap stuff people would think it was therefore cheap and nasty in quality as well.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I'm into cheap n nasty Primark quality clothes, even though a lot of these top designer names do overcharge, they can quite often be made of better materials n better quality. Don't think I'd ever be as mad as to pay full price though, brought myself a nice Baracuta polo shirt the other day, rrp £55, got in a sale for £30, which to me is about as much as I'd be willing to pay anyway.
Fair play to Liam though, having his name associated with a Mod style clothing range seems to be doing the trick, he's got plenty of Oasis fans, as well as celebs, buying n promoting his gear...

Must admit I'm on Noels side about the Pretty Green advert in the tour guide. Why should they let Liam freely advertise his own business when it had nothing to do with Oasis. None of the other members of the band would have gotten anything out of it, only Liam. Plus, surely them wearing Pretty Green clothing all the time anyway is surely enough promotion in itself for Liam.

"Look at the idiot in the parka, it's the hottest day of the year" And no I don't wear "homer simpson shirts" and "reebok classics" whatever that means. I dress very well. I just am sensible and buy clothes with just as good quality if not better than Pretty Green at a price that isn't a rip off. Fair play to you if you have money to waste at the age of 18. I hope you aren't spending your parents money on this stuff.

I am willing to bet that the majority of people who bought Pretty Green clothes only did so because it was from Liam Gallagher.

That's the point of having a celeb's name attached to a high price clothing line. People are buying for the name. I understand that, but it still seems idiotic to buy. You can find very, very similar clothes for much cheaper. And to get your money's worth, you basically have to tell everyone you know you bought a "Liam Gallagher Original".

What if you just like the clothes? I haven't bought any yet, but I might one day. I like a lot of what he offers, plus I think the Pretty Green logo is cool. Especially in the states you won't see anyone walking around wearing Pretty Green so you'll have some nice clothes that most people don't even know about.
EDIT- I guess I know what you're talking about though. There are probably a bunch of people in the UK that buy a PG shirt and think they're Liam when they put it on. Those people are idiots.

I only have one Pretty Green tshirt that my girlfriend bought me, and to be fair it is great quality fitting and is my favourite t shirt, but yes I agree spending hundreds of hundreds of pounds on it is a bit silly.

If people think im just ripping off LG than i would rather that than be part of the rap, r and b grey jogging bottom culture that the rest of the people my age wear.

It was either that or float into obscurity. Yeah because if Gem and Andy sided with Noel instead Liam wouldn't be able to join/form another band? Let's face it Beady Eye haven't brought anyone other than Oasis fans across with them and as good as Gem and Andy are musically Liam is the main attraction, so people would have followed him no matter what he did at least for the first album, so stop being a dick Marty Will? Well, I didn't think Noel was an option for them as he cited a lack of support from band mates in his announcement.

I wrote this in the PG argument thread, but I'll post it here because it got overlooked and is more relevant here anyway:
Doing nothing, when you're capable of acting is just as bad as the problem itself.
It's like the kid who gets bullied at school by one big guy, and everyone watches. Everyone who is watching the spectacle and not doing a damn thing are part of the problem. But the kid who emerges to try to break it up, or try to console the kid at the end at the very least will have done the right thing.
It's always easy to be a spectator and not get involved, but that doesn't make it right.
Andy, as a mutual friend and as a band mate should have done - or at the very least said - something.
I'm not blaming Andy for the breakup. And I'm not on a crusade of hatred against the guy. But I do understand Noel's feelings, and his statement both at the end of Oasis and at the press conference were fair. He feels betrayed, and that's understandable.
What would you do if your friend watched you get the shit kicked out of you, not giving a damn about you while it was occurring or even after it ended? Exactly.

Any fucker that wants to charge me to advertise my own fuckin clothing line in my own fuckin band, is NO brother of mine!!! Thats KARMA! Liam started the band, Liam started PG, safe to say that Noel pretty much stared the band as well, considering he wrote ALL of their TOP gear. But, to try and actually charge Liam for the the advert? WTF? THats beyond me. i doubt Liam was going to have a centerfold in the program any way. Safe money is that Noel had ulterior motives for pressing on about charging Liam. Perhaps jealousies that Liam was actually being successful in something that he had no part in? or maybe Noel was straight up just being a buster. Been a very long time fan of the band, have an oasis tat on my back, just not buying into the whole PG gear. Sorry but, Im sticking to Fred Perry. Black label? serious? its not like its Ralph Lauren or anything. i see it as a complete bite off FP and Ben Sherman.but, hey fair play to Liam ppl are obviously buying it. As to why Noel started hating on Liam on this whole PG matter is beyond me. only they know. Hope to see them sort it out come 2015

It's really stupid to say anything about this when no one here fully grasps the actual dynamics of the band. Judging an incident from some random interviews + imagination is fine, it's just that it's likely to be completely false.
