Liam hasn't given any explanation of his lost temper to my knowledge. We know more about why Liam may have been on a warpath from Noel than from Liam.

Noel on the other hand at least said, "I should have gone back and done the rest of the gigs and talked about it after that and we could have gone on hiatus."

I was talking about the interview where he mentioned Noel bringing journalists who slagged him (Liam) off backstage which triggered the fight.

It's in the Beady Eye section somewhere, I'll try to look for it later if you think I'm making shit up

I don't think that Liam was actually talking about that night re: the journalist/comics. I agree he was talking about Russell hanging about though when he was talking about comics though. However:

A) if a bunch of journalist had following Oasis across to France to report of Oasis @ a foreign festival (as if) we would have gotten better coverage of the split. Also if some journalist had been there that night they'd have milked it. We'd have heard about it.

B) Russell Brand was in America filming Arthur so he definitely wasn't there. Russell was asked about that quote in an interview later on.
