Noel is/was just jealous of pretty green by the sound of it. He wishes he had thought of it. That's the best joke I've ever heard...I'm sure all this time Noel has been beating himself up just WISHING he had started his own overpriced clothing label. You're clearly delusional. Overpriced? You either have no designer clothes or buy yours from the rails of TK MAX. Even if you think it is overpriced, you cant deny its been a huge success and liam proved everyone wrong with it. Noel is a bitter control freak.

It really is a shame we never got to see what could have happened if Gem and Andy were allowed their songs to get a fair roll of the dice with Noel being fully supportive. "The Beat Goes On" and "The Roller" could have been legendary with some Noel support. Absolutely. I wonder what a lot of the DGSS songs would have turned out like if Noel had been involved. Especially that new bside, In a Bubble with a Bullet...has a lot of potential and a great sound but I think they kind of didnt knwo what to do with it, so they just finished it off quick. It coudl have been so much more, same with KFAD. If noel had have been involved? Andy would have gone to him and said i have these tunes called Four Letter Word and Kill For A Dream! Noel would have said but andy, A Quick Peep is a ground breaking instrumental and The Nature Of Reality is the next Wonderwall

^^ Pretty Green is the most overpriced clothing line of all time. You can get the exact same stuff for half the price elsewhere. The only people that actually buy it are Liam wannabes (I saw plenty at the Beady Eye gig wearing Parkas on a roastin hot day) and celebrities like JOE COLE I certainly can't afford that stuff anyway. Fairplay if people have a fantastic job and can afford it, but that's still just wasting money.

I wait for the sales and then it's reasonable. No more expensive than any of the clothing you'd find for sale at an Oasis gig and much higher quality.

Noel is a bitter control freak. Tabloid / Promotion success - yes, possibly. A business which has lost around £250,000 in it's first year of training isn't much to shout about (as reported in yesterday's Daily Mirror). I'm not on Dragon's Den / Apprentice but I know that isn't good. And yes Pretty Green is overpriced - £40 for a plain black vest (PW range) is hardly fantastic value for money, probably cost about £2 to make...

If Andy protected Noel from Liam swinging a guitar at him Andy would most likely not even be in Beady Eye. That would be a shame cause Andy is a talent.

I think he recognises that trying to hitting Noel with a guitar was stupid which is why he has never brought it up when talking about that night. Liam wouldn't have cut Andy out for that IMO...and if he did...he wouldn't have deserved Andy anyways. As it is they deserve eachother. The abusive twat and the spineless coward.

It has gotten old very quickly. I'm feeling talked out about it too...I don't know why I keep letting myself get drawn in again. God I wish we'd gotten some music so we could talk about that.

I could read people ripping Andy all fucking day. It's hilarious. I've never been a big fan of his but the sudden hate he's gotten is comical. I love the overreactions

Same here, I own a couple of t shirts, shoes and other bits bought in the sales. The quality is far and away better than all of the other so called 'designer' clothes I've bought over the years.

Well... at least no one's blaming Andy wholly for the breakup now. I know almost no one actually said that but combined with the frenzied atmosphere after Noel's conference, a lot of people smelled strongly of it. Could be my bad though I still want to know more about the swinging-the-guitar part of the story, and if violence as cruel as it happened several times before. But I could still understand both Noel and Andy to a certain extent. I'm usually not a fan of groundless, predictive talks like this. This forum somehow leads me to doing it and I'm not so pleased..

Andy does come across as a bit of a weakling in all honesty, I really rate him as a songwriter and think he's great but I do get the impression he's a bit of a loner and likes to keep himself to himself.
Liam on the night of the fight was no doubt drunk as fuck and yeah, having such a big argument whilst being as intoxicated as I can imagine he was, was never gonna end well. I'm sure thats why Liam hasn't gone into much detail about that night himself, he definitely regrets it, we've all done some stupid things when we're drunk.
Probably a bit unfair for Noel to pick on Andy for not being the one to step in and calm things down though when I'm sure there were quite a few other people watching what was going on and could of done so as well.
I'm not defending anyone, theres always 2 sides to a story. Those that long for an Oasis reunion at some stage can only pray that BOTH Liam and Noel can learn to grow up a bit then they might get along. As it is at the moment though, Beady Eye are doing well, their album grew on me a lot and I'm sure I'm gonna really dig Noels album/s as well. Who knows, maybe in time they'll get back together but I really can't see that happening anytime soon...

I think there is at least one interview where Liam said two things about the guitar incident : - He tried to hit his brother with a guitar - He regrets not having succeeded

I do however seem to remember Liam saying that Noel set him off with a derogatory comment about his guitar playing skills. Now, if he said that while Liam was headed out to go play some guitar to warm up in his dressing room, I would guess that's the comment that set him off and would explain why he grabbed the guitar to make a point.
