Man of Misery came on shuffle today, should of been on the album instead of Standing On The Edge or Beatles and Stones.

I think DGSS had some really, really strong songs. The problem is it had just as many weak ones. The good ones I feel were: Four Letter Work The Roller Wigwam The Beat Goes On The Morning Son I think the Beat Goes On lacks something, but could have been great. I also think The Morning Son is Soldier On's better brother. I'm surprised it doesn't rate higher around here. I think Millionaire is a fun little tune and I grew to appreciate it more after hearing the heavier live version. For Anyone is good, it just doesn't go anywhere. I also enjoy the Bridge in Three Ring Circus, enough to not call it a clunker, but obviously as a whole it isn't great. The problem is, the other 5 I didn't mention are quite bad. Morning Son suffers from the same thing a lot of Liam's songs suffer from. Great verse melody but nothing else in that department. I love how it builds at the end but there's not enough song there if you break it down.

This album was better than Heathen Chemistry. There, I said it...

This album was better than Heathen Chemistry. There, I said it... Thats an interesting take. Really is. Neither are albums I revisit much. Just the singles I suppose. In that case Heathen Chemistry soars higher. Not by much.

In that case Heathen Chemistry soars higher. Not by much. I can respect the singles take. I dig the Hindu Times, Little by Little, Songbird, and I can't deny the commercial success of Stop Crying Your Heart Out. But for cumulative experience, I'll take DGSS.
