I dont think TBGO needs a big chorus, the one its got is great, big chorus often make things a bit cheesy. I know a lot of the great Oasis songs have big chorus but I personally realy love the way they have made TBGO I would like to some what agree. Except that the melody was building toward one. I'm a believer that the melody determines where you go in a song. And in that song, the melody was building and it screaming for maybe not a "big chorus", but a better chorus than what was on there. imo

Four Letter Word 8/10 Millionaire 8/10 The Roller 7.5/10 Beatles and Stones 7.5/10 Wind Up Dream 7.5/10 Bring The Light 7.5/10 For Anyone 8.5/10 Kill For A Dream 9.5/10 Standing On the Edge of the Noise 5/10 Wigwam 9.5/10 Three Ring Circus 8/10 The Beat Goes On 9.5/10 The Morning Sun 9/10
If I pretend SOTEOTN never existed I would give this album an 8.5-9/10. This imo is up there with anything Oasis released and might have surpassed many Oasis albums. I think we have many things in store from this band!

can't believe there are people who would rate Bring the SHITE higher than Millionaire.

can't believe there are people who would rate Bring the SHITE higher than Millionaire. Millionaire is boring. I actually rate it higher than BTL because it's not offensive in any way, but i can understand why people would put BTL over it.

For Anyone is a more realized Songbird. Really beautiful and intimate and one of my faves. exactly what i thought after the song finished playing. short and sweet, nothing wrong with that, right? EDIT sorry man but i think Bring the shite is just that, SHITE! it's a ridiculous song, it's not even funny. when i first heard the damn thing, i thought someone was playing a prank on me.

I'm with you there, but Millionaire is just a different brand of shit. It's not head and shoulders over BTL in my eyes. I'll be forever skipping Millionaire, Bring the Light, For Anyone, Standing on the Edge of the Noise and possibly The Beat Goes On. The rest are good to great.

The song is the same the whole way through. Yeah, there's some nice melodies in there, but it just sounds like a generic ballad i've heard a million other times. Just doesn't appeal to me like the others. Maybe I'm heartless? It's a tad sappy and it doesn't do enough other things to keep me interested.

Come on now...we're all fans here but not a single song is under a 7.5? That's nonsense.
I can understand not going under 5 because you're bound to like everything to extent since it's Liam and co. but nothing under a 7.5? That's nuts...balls nuts.

I'm not going to say that anything should be under a 7.5. That's personal taste and a personal decision. All I have the right to do is state my opinion, try to argue and say to myself is "to each his own".

For Anyone; 2 minutes of goosebumps The Morning Son; Fell a tear when I heard the whole first verse and the beginning of the outro.
What an album! Only listened to it once.

Four Letter Word 8/10 One of the few heavy sounding songs on the album and it works as a great opener,I liked it since the first listen so no surprises here.
Millionaire 6.5/10 After the first listen the song has some great parts in it however I was hoping for more.
The Roller 8.5/10 Again fits well into the album and its a great song but we have known about this song for ages
Beatles and Stones 7/10 The song is a lot better than i thought it would be ,I still don't like the name and its a bit basic but it's still a good song
Wind Up Dream 7.5/10 Better than I thought it would be judging from the previews, really good chorus
Bring The Light 7/10 The song has grown on me recently,it still has poor lyrics but it can really make you smile at the good parts, still not a fan of the backing singers though
For Anyone 8.5/10 Great little song, don't know how liam is gonna pull this one off live but it's the Songbird of the album
Kill For A Dream 8.5/10 This was the song I was most pumped for,its a great song but im left a little dissapointed, still a really good song and one of the best n the album
Standing On the Edge of the Noise 6/10 Pretty decent song, will sound a lot different live because of all the effects on this one,I don't mind it as much as others seem to however
Wigwam 8/10 I really like the end to this song and it has a great melody, probably would work as a good end to the album however it does go on a bit.
Three Ring Circus 8.5/10 The song really surprised me with how good it is,I really like it,one of my personal favourites.
The Beat Goes On 10/10 Best on the album without a doubt for me,a classic ,bloody love it
The Morning Sun 8.5/10 Great end to the album ,goes on a bit but the lyrics are really good and it has a great sound

people who think for anyone is too short are clueless. Yep, there's a difference between an old-school, well written song like For Anyone and an unfinished song like Songbird which is only a verse. I think only people who snuck a listen of the previews would think this anyway, because if you hear 30 seconds of a 2+ minute song you're not going to be surprised by much. Same would go for most amazing 50's and early 60's songs... whereas a tune like Morning Son is long and the best parts weren't in the previews. The people who will hear the album whole for the first time are going to be thrilled with For Anyone. Ratings of these for me: Wigwam:10 Morning Son: 10 The Beat Goes On: 9 For Anyone: 9 Kill For A Dream: 8 Wind Up Dream: 7 (I actually really dig this tune despite the verse being terribly derivative (Glass Onion etc.). Standing On The Edge Of The Noise: 7 Three Ring Circus: 7 Beatles & Stones: 6 Bring The Light: 5 Millionaire: 5 Four Letter Word: 2 The Roller: 2

BTL for me is like a 4 and i am being generous/trying to be objective. lol Beatles and Stone is bad also but not terrible like Bring the Shite. i'd give it a 5.5, maybe a 6. nah... can't even be a 6. the song is boring as hell.
the rest are all 7+ imo. there are some 8.5s like Wigwam and Kill for a Dream.

Four Letter Word 7/10 Nice opener Millionaire 9/10 Love the guitar The Roller 8/10 Good one Gem Beatles & Stones 7/10 Nice little song Wind Up Dream 3/10 Don´t like it at all Bring The Light 4/10 Not very good is it? For Anyone 6/10 Goes nowhere really? Kill For A Dream 8/10 Nice tune Standing On The Edge Of The Noise 6/10 It´s actually alright Wigwam 6/10 Can´t really get this song Three Ring Circus 7/10 The verse is great The Beat Goes On 10/10 That´s a masterpiece The Morning Son 8/10 Liams best song on this album
7/10 Laim made this up to be a real Rock´n Roll album and Oasis was for children compared to it. He´s wrong. It´s not a Definitely Maybe kind of album. Andy Bell really saves it all on this one. His songs are by far the best. If Noel did choose Nature of Reality over any of these tunes he´s really fucked up.

Maybe it just didn't meet your way-too-high expectations. In fact I think I'm seeing many ratings that are affected too much by high expectations.

FLW: C+ Millionaire: C The Roller: A Beatles and Stones: C+ Wind Up Dream: B BTL: C For Anyone: B Kill For a Dream: B+ SOTEOTN: E Wigwam: A 3RC: B The Beat Goes On: B+ Morning Son: A
- 'Wigwam' could of been unbelievable if it was all as good as the first 2minutes
- really enjoyed 'wind up dream', very underated
- 'for anyone' just nice and simple like songbird and it works well
- make no mistake if the beatles wrote 'the beat goes on' it would of been a classic
- only filler is 'standing on the edge of the noise', i tried to like it but its just really bad

Have given the album one listen all the way through. Ranking it at the moment is pretty premature.. so I will just give my ratings
four letter word 7/10 Millionaire 6/10 The roller 810 ( correct choice to release this as the first proper single) Beates and Stones 8/10 (seems to have mixed reviews, but I really do enjoy this tune. Love the piano and drums) Wind up Dream 5/10 (doesn't really do anything for me after the first listen) BTL 6/10 (not as bad as people like to think just the baby come on is too long at the end) For Anyone 6/10 (think this was hyped up too much, and I personally don't think it's that good) Standing on the edge of the noise 7/10 ( good rocker) Wigwam 8/10 Three ring circus 8/10 (TUNE, don't care what people think) The beat Goes on 9/10 (Andys best tune, classic!) Morning Son 7/10
im sure after time these ratings will change.
