I know we all have different tastes but 2/10 for Millionaire (and specially Four letter word) ? Thats ridiculous I agree, people are entitled to their own opinion, but 2/10 is a bit harsh Totally, its good a lot of people are being fair and not just saying 9/10 for every tune. But 2/10 That is ridiculous. I'm not keen on Standing on the edge of the noise, perhaps 5/10 but 2/10 means its a song which makes my ears actually bleed

have to say i really like it, but then again I still think HC is a quality album. There are a few weaker tunes on there, but far surpassed my expectations, still looking forward to man of misery as well

1. Four Letter Word - 6/10 - Well, nothing special. Doesnt sound very modern. 2. Millionare - 4/10 - Sorry but Liams voice is just far to nasal on this song. Almost unlistenable cause of this. 3. The Roller - 7/10 - Pretty nice tune and Liam sings allright. Still those ah ah ah are disturbing but like the verse. 4. Beatles and Stone - 6/10 - Nice rock try. 5. Wind Up Your Dream - 6,5/10 - Allright but no real melody or hook. 6. Bring The Light - 6/10 - They try to do something old sound modern and it is a nice try but the song is just awful to be honest. Still they deserve som credit for the originality here. 7. For Anyone 6,5/10 - allright melody. It is ok and Liam does a decent job here. 8. Kill For a Dream 7/10 - A psychadelic Keep the Dream Alive and pretty nice but something tells me that just like KTDA it will not grow but shrink. 9. Standing On The Edge Of Noise - 6/10 - Sounds a little bit like the early years. Energy. Not the same quality melody though. 10. Wigwam - 7,5/10 - The part -2:30 has a good melody and are less boring than other slower songs on the album. The part after 2:30 is great and the best part of the album imo. A classic great oasisoutro! Liam should be proud of this one. 11. The Ring Circus - 7/10 - Liam does a very good on this one and pretty nice melodies too. 12. The Beat Goes On - 7,5/10 - Good song. Liams best vocalpearformance. It sounds to much like the Beatles though. It is almost ridicolous. 13. Morning Son 6,5 - Allright song but dont like that effect on Liams voice.
Total 7/10 - Better than expected. Still the band needs to stop look back. There is nothing comparable with songs like Falling Down. Strange they have the best songs in the end. All In all this has lower quality than any of Oasis album. There are no real stand out tracks and over all the quality is just allright. Liam is to much stuck in 60's.

Four Letter Word - 8/10 Millonaire - 7/10 (maybe more of a 7.5) The Roller - 7/10 Beatles and Stones - 6/10 Wind-Up Dream - 5/10 Bring The Light - 6/10 For Anyone - 8/10 Kill For A Dream - 8/10 Standing On The Edge Of The Noise - 6/10 Wigwam - 8/10 Three Ring Circus - 7/10 The Beat Goes On - 8/10 Morning Son - 8/10
As you can see from my ratings, I don't feel there is a single stand-out track - but a very solid effort. My personal favourite maybe is For Anyone (absolutely charming melody)

Four Letter Word - 8/10. Still loving it, great tune. Millionaire - 5-6/10 Doesn't go anywhere and goes on for too long. The Roller 8/10 Might be a rip-off, but it's still amazing. Beatles and Stones - 6/10. One of the weaker tracks. Wind Up Dream - 6/10 The chorus sounds exactly like the "we live a dying dream" part in Falling Down! Bring the Light - 7/10 For Anyone - 7/10 Sweet, short song. Kill for a Dream - 7/10 Not that special, but nice tune. SOTEOTN - 7/10 A bit like BTL. Simple but not bad. Wigwam - 8/10 Goes on too long, but a very unusual song. Three Ring Circus - 7/10 Solid tune, great guitar solo. The Beat Goes On - 9/10 As good as it gets. The Morning Son - 8/10 Could be shorter, but good tune. Overall I'd say it's a 7,5/10 album and I'm very happy with it.

FLW: 7/10 Really like this as an opening track, a good James Bond style opening.
Millionaire: 6.5/10 I like it, but sometimes it sounds like a fuckin' Shania Twain song from the mid 90's. But still, a good song.
The Roller: 7/10 Catchy, I like the "Instant Karma"-rip off feel it has, even if that's sacrilegious to some people.
Beatles and Stones: 6.5/10 I really like this one, nothing more, nothing less... A good old school rocker.
Wind Up Dream: 7.5 Caught me by surprise, I think this is a fine fine song. Feels kind of "Revolver-esque".
BTL: 5.5/10 I like BTL, at least for the first 2.5 minutes, but the repetitive lyrics and melody just ruins it a bit for me at the end there...
For Anyone: 8/10 Don't think LG has ever sounded as sweet as he does on this track. Feels really 50's and has a charming riff.
Kill For a Dream: 8.5/10 Great job Andy, the lyrics are great and the melody is really good. Love the guitar part at the 3 min mar, even if i wish it would evolve in a bigger guitar solo.
SOTEOTN: 6/10 Good rocker, I agree with the "A lot of noise"-comments, but I think that's what the guys were going for, and I like it. Especially the part after the "So many people, so little time, so many reasons, so (...?...)" lyrics. And the short guitar solo is great.
Wigwam: 9/10 Love everything about it!
Three Ring Circus: 8/10 Great guitar solo, and I like the overall feel. Great LG vocals on this one, he nails the long a's and o's perfectly!
The Beat Goes On: 9.5/10 Wonderful, my favorite song on the album, one of my favorite LG sung songs period! The ”It’s not even the end of the day, so long so long……”-part and everything from there really just sends chills down my spine. Fuckin' magical!
Morning Son: 9.5/10 What else is there to say...? Easily the best Liam written song ever, and the way it builds after 2.20 is just fantastic. A great ender to a great album!
All in all, I'd give this album a 7.5 out of 10, and that's far from what I though I would give it after hearing BTL. The boys really stepped up with this one. And I just have that feeling that the next album will be the one where they really will shine! Cant wait to see them live at RAH!

After four listens:
Four Letter Word 6/10 - good rockin song, but nothing special to me
Millionaire 6/10 - another good song but again, nothing special
The Roller 7/10 - a very catchy song.. it grows on each listen
Beatles and Stones 7/10 - I like the chorus
Wind Up Dream 6/10 - good intro but the song never takes off
Bring The Light 7/10 - YES, I like it.. I don't care about the lyrics but this song is positive and perhaps on of the best live, we'll see..
For Anyone 9/10 - amazing melody, better than songbird
Kill For A Dream 7/10 - the song is great but I don't like Liam's voice here.. similar feeling than with Keep The Dream Alive from DOYS
Standing On the Edge of the Noise 7/10 - same than BTL.. could be masive live.. If I didn't know who wrote it I would've said it was the best Liam's work after Meaning Of Soul and Ain't Got Nothing (I don't like these ones)
Wigwam 9/10 - Incredible ending.. EPIC
Three Ring Circus 6/10 - it's ok.. with a good chorus
The Beat Goes On 9/10 - The third best song on the album for me.. very close to FA
The Morning Sun 10/10 - Simply the best... classic.. And the best lyrics from Liam
If I calculate the average of the songs, the album would be an 7,38.. but for me the album as a whole is an 8.. You can listen to it without skipping a song and the second half of it is fucking great (this is wierd, isn't it?). I like THE BEATLES and I don't have any problem with these guys following their steps!!! In fact, I like beatlesque songs a lot..

Going through the 2nd listen of the album, and it's amazing! It's really, really good! Gonna wait for the rating/ranking until next week tough..

Four Letter Word: 8/10 Great album opening. That intro really kicks out. M-E-G-A Millionaire: 8/10 I really love to sing this while i'm walking. Love the tune. The Roller: 8/10 The most Beatlesy sound of all. Beatles and Stones: 6/10 Short and Rocking. Another typical Liam song Wind Up Dream: 6/10 That "rattlesnake" sound kinda buggin' me at first..and then Whooooooo...... Bring The Light: 7/10 I think...This is Liam's version of "The Importance Of being Idle", It's really different from any other songs. For Anyone: 7/10 A Clap Tune on this album - Imagining to sing along on the live gig Kill For A Dream: 8/10 I never expected that tune coming. Really surprising and really good. The background orchestra gives me a chill Standing On The Edge Of The Noise: 6/10 Definitely a lots and lots of noise. Wigwam: 7/10 Feels like 80s music. Love the organ sound. Very classic Three Ring Circus: 7/10 Great tune. Great solo guitar. Gem probably The Beat Goes On: 9/10 One of my favourite since i heard the preview. Still my favourite even if it's kinda sad to hear the lyrics.. The Morning Son: 9/10 The most personal Liam's lyrics for Noel (Or at least I think it's the 'farewell' message to Noel). That acoustic sound really make me wanna play it myself Verdict : 8/10 To me, it's always gonna be a secret-message-album after Oasis break-up. They'll stick around and the beat will definitely goes on

At the moment:
Four Letter Word - 8/10: The only time they really sound almost exactly like Oasis Millionaire - 5/10: A disappointment. They shoul have put more into it, doesn't go anywhere, as have been said before The Roller - 7.5/10: It's good, but as most of the album, a little bit too repetitive to reach the classic status. Beatles and Stone - 6/10: Had low expectations on this one, surpringsingly catchy though. Wind Up Dream - 6/10: Also better than I thought, have potential to grow. Bring the Light - 7/10: It's cool and different, but the lyrics are fucking shit tbh. Better lyrics and I'd love it. For Anyone 7.5/10: Sweet melody. Almost up there with Songbird. Kill For a Dream - 8/10: Doesn't remember it now, but I know I thought it was great. Standing on the Edge of Noise - 5/10: It's a rocker and easy listening. Liked in, but in the end, it will probably be a skipper. Wigwam - 6/10: Really disappointing after one listening given my high expectations. Had hoped for more cool psychedelic guitar sounds. Potentially a grower. Three Ring Circus - 7/10: Cool but had hoped for way more guitar solo and better riffs. The Beat Goes On - 7/10: Haven't got it yet. The piano at the end saved it from being really disappointing. It will grow, for sure. The Morning Son - 9/10: The best one. Class.
DGSS - 7/10: Way better than DOYS at first listen, not necessarily a good thing. It will take some time to give it a fair score, but songs like TBGO and Wigwam will need to grow a bit to match DOYS, but at least it sounds more consistent than DOYS.

I'm going to wait with the full "review" untill I've heard a few times. but first impressions (which mostly are the best ones) Millionaire: such a fresh song. (one of the best things about this album is that it's fresh) Not a classic, but is as enjoyable as "She's electric" Wind Up Dream: I thought this would be complete shit from the previews, it turned out much better than expected. For Anyone: Songbird but than better. Amazing little love song Kill for a dream: also better than expected from the previews, it's a grower I guess... It has the same vibe as TBGO I think, but it's less good standing on the edge of the noise : the effect on Liams voice is sometimes really good, sometimes it's weird. Good rocker I guess, but nothing special. Wigwam: Very good tune, the ending makes it really special, even though I was hoping the "coming in" etc would go somewhere. It drags on a bit, maybe a few more listenings will change my opinion. Still loving the ending overall! Three ring circus: Really, really good. The guitars are very good, it's a joy to listen to! The beat goes on: I must say I wasn't expecting too much from this song from the previews, but I followed the hype since everyone was claiming this song was going to be huge. At first I was afraid there wasn't going to be a chorus. Fortunately there was!!! Such a beatiful song. Wow. The morning son: Don't shoot me, but this reminds my of Coldplay at some parts (which isn't a bad thing, since I like coldplay) The intro is beautiful. The drums take this song to another level. Just when I was thinking that the end of this song was going nowhere, the drums are starting to accelerate (still speeding, anyone? ) to end in a beautiful supernova!! The only problem with this song is that it is a bit repetitive, but the production and everything else make me forget that!!

Four Letter Word - 8.5/10. Closest thing to my favourite Oasis stuff. Reminds me of Headshrinker in the solo.
Millionaire - 8/10. Sounds like Going Blank Again era Ride with Liam singing. Not a bad thing.
The Roller - 7.5/10. Good single but needs a middle 8 with some different melody to make it special and the repeated line of "The Roller, the roller" etc bores me but thankfully cuts out quite soon.
Beatles and Stones - 7/10 Good foot tapper. Reminds me of 22-20s Devil in Me.
Wind Up Dream - 7/10 On a par with Beatles and Stones but the "come on"s get a bit tiresome but not as much as on...
Bring the Light - 5.5/10 It's ok and catchy as hell but it loses 2 points for being 40-50 seconds too long. I can see why they released it first as it's the biggest departure from the Oasis sound but they will have lost a lot of old Oasis fans because of it who probably won't come back. That it's mega retro and the oldest BE tune we have just makes it sound dated compared to the rest and it's only 3 months old! That's not a good thing
For Anyone - 7.5/10 Songbird 2. Like it.
Kill for a Dream - 7.5/10 The "Kill for a dream tonight line" is ace but the na na nas make it just sound like Little James with better lyrics.
SOTEOTN - 6.5/10 Reminds me of a better version of I Can See a Liar but I really hate that song! The "oooooh, yeah" just annoys me though but I love the megaphone effect.
Wigwam - 7.5/10 Bit too long and for a 6 minuter I wasn't expecting such an abrupt start. Good vibe though and the coming up line is the same melody as McCartney's song of the same name. I thought it was Lennon that Liam stole from!
Three Ring Circus - 8.5/10 My favourite. The "I wanna go..." line is a great twist of melody. Great guitar. Great beat. Just the right length. Love it.
The Beat Goes On - 8/10 Great melody and lyrical content but I don't like it when solos are just the same tune as the song but played on an instrument. I've already heard words and don't need to hear a drippy keyboard playing the same thing just to pad it out.
The Morning Son - 8.5/10 Imagine if this ended DOYS. Most of the haters would love that album if it did!
Overall it's solid but lacks classics in my opinion which means I'll probably stop listening once the hype's died down and I've been to the Manc and Leeds gigs. That said, I don't think I'll skip anything except BTL when it comes up on shuffle.

Four Letter Word - 8/10 - I've liked it alot since I first heard it. Great opening rocker.
Millionaire - 7/10 - Nothing special but a very solid album track. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Its different than I'm used to hearing in Oasis (theme of the album really) but in a good way. Like someone else said, fresh.
The Roller - 8.5/10 - I never would've guessed this would be my 5th or 6th favorite song on the album. Still like it alot.
Beatles And Stones - 7/10 - This one is growing on me the more I hear it. Another very solid album track.
Wind Up Dream - 6/10 - Probably my least favorite track. I like the intro and the WOO!, the verses aren't bad either, but something about the chorus just doesn't do it for me. Not a terrible song but didn't meet its potential.
Bring the Light - 6/10 - Hated it at first but its grown on me. Can't wait to hear it live.
For Anyone - 9/10 - Underrated song on here. Short but very sweet. Much better than Songbird. Single material.
Kill For A Dream - 8.5/10 - This one could grow even more on me, we'll see. I love the "I'd kill for a dream tonight" part. Andy was really on his game for this album. Might have been under utilized in Oasis.
Standing On the Edge of the Noise - 6/10 - Guarantee it sounds much better live. Again I was surprised I liked it better than I thought I would. Not a track I look forward to but I won't skip it.
Wigwam - 9.5/10 - Epic. Love the opening part. Great lyrics. The middle part loses a little ground but then that mega ending saves it. It might drag on a bit but hey, Be Here Now is my favorite album so it doesn't bother me. Liam was out to prove something with his songwriting.
Three Ring Circus - 8/10 - The best part of this song is the guitar. The verses are good but the chorus is too repetitive. It doesn't kill the song but I would think Gem could come up with something to make it two lines repeated twice instead of one line repeated four times.
The Beat Goes On - 10/10 - Classic. I didn't hear it in the 30 second clips and was afraid I'd be let down by this one but I'm so glad I was wrong. As someone else said, if the beatles would've wrote this it would've been a classic. And it still is. Hope they release it as a single.
The Morning Son - 9/10 - Beautiful song. I think Liam needed to write this for closure of the break up. I was afraid it would be another Soldier On and while its repetitive, it takes off and soars instead of stagnating and getting stale and boring. Great album ender.
Overall - 8/10 - Could go up, doubt it goes down. Blew away my expectations. Imagine the first half of DOYS and the second half of DGSS.. Obviously that never would've happened but its funny how they're opposites in that regard.
