A round of applause for Fergie, who despite twenty-plus years of managerial experience, still has the power to cost us games with his fucking dire team selection.

Quite tough ones for Man Utd and Chelsea. Although Porto is no easy task - I always fear these sort of teams, because we balls up against them yet beat the harder ones at the last 16.
I remember when we went to PSV Eindhoven a few years back - that was a joke and Thierry Henry was being a right moody prick.

It's reaching a point where I'll accept failure if it'll persuade Fergie to sort out this fucking mediocre squad of ours.

It's reaching a point where I'll accept failure if it'll persuade Fergie to sort out this fucking mediocre squad of ours. You could say that again... bloody hell, Leeds! And at Old Trafford. And with the compulsory 5 minutes plus injury time (that wasn't enough for Fergie). Hell, the side wasn't that weak either.

Ronaldo and Tevez are a massive loss in Man U's team. They're attack just isn't good enough.

At times like this I wish football was a bit more like Championship Manager. Haha, true! Blinders by Nani and Rooney yesterday, Nani's so much better when he's on the right. Still, was 'only' Hull. Shitty on wednesday's gonna be tough though, got a feeling we're gonna get kicked out

Ferguson traveled to Santander to sign Canales. he failed, the young player is coming to Real Madrid ;D Just so we're clear: Alex Ferguson is the manager of Manchester United, not Manchester City. We play in red, they in blue. Although we do reside in the same city, we're two different teams entirely, much like yourselves and Atletico.

Created loads of chances in that game, lets hope we can do the same tomorrow and against le Arse. Dilemma for Fergie, who to play on the right, Nani or Valencia? I'd play them both and let them switch wings. Defence is crucial though, not conceding should see us through.

All I ascertain from those reports is that United sent a scout to Spain to watch Canales, and that a number of clubs - including United - have held preliminary talks with his agent regarding a move, and not that our manager made it his personal mission to fly to Santander in the middle of the season. I suppose it could say that in Marca, but then I wouldn't trust a word that's printed in Marca where it concerns Real Madrid anyway.
Still, a word of advice: all this premature gloating is making you sound like a City fan.

well, if you think a newspaper invents news... there's little to say. But to remember all the previous times you said the same and, surprisingly, you were wrong and about the gloating, I'm just happy because a good and young player prefers coming to my team instead of going to an english one. once again.

Vidic? I hate the fact that we've turned into Madrid's feeder club I think the biggest shame is foreign players coming over here and wanting to leave because their wives don't like the city they live in and it isn't sunny enough. They need to grow some balls.

Vidic? I hate the fact that we've turned into Madrid's feeder club Vidic (or his wife, and therefore he by association) has been unsettled for a while now, and if we do get the £20m that's being reported, I'd call that a decent return on a want-away defender pushing 30, particularly one whose form and confidence went out of the window when Fernando Torres turned him upside-down at Old Trafford last year. And as for Real Madrid? With the possible exception of Ronaldo, every player who has made the switch has done so when it suited United.

Given, 20 mil sounds about fair, but Lescott went to city for 22 mil iirc. Given, City pay way more than they should, but it just feels terribly wrong that Vidic should be off for less than that.

Support some proper football teams. Try being down in the lower leagues and not having a pot to piss in. Then you wouldn't be complaining about selling players for £30m a time and being in the European Cup.

Support some proper football teams. Try being down in the lower leagues and not having a pot to piss in. Since you've obviously been living under a rock for the last five years, let me clue you in on something: Manchester United, the most decorated club of the last two decades, and one whose annual revenue is currently bettered only by Real Madrid, is currently over £700m in debt. Now, while I'm not arrogant enough to suggest that the blow isn't cushioned by our success on the field, nor am I stupid enough to ignore the fact that my club is dangling over a financial precipice. And why? Because a family of greedy c*nts have mortgaged the future of my football club in attempt to line their own fucking pockets. So please, don't feed me the lower-league party line about so-called 'proper football', because I can assure you that relegation does not earn you the right to act like a fucking martyr.

Given, City pay way more than they should, but it just feels terribly wrong that Vidic should be off for less than that. It wouldn't be the first time we'd received less than the going rate: look at Beckham and Van Nistelrooy. Jaap Stam went for £16m in 2001, so common sense suggests that we should be holding out for twice that given fluctuation in the transfer market, but Fergie is undoubtedly under pressure to sell, and with Vidic's replacement already lined up I'd be surprised if United were to hesitate in accepting bids upwards of £20m. On another note: it was funny to see Ronaldo discussing a return to Old Trafford at the weekend. Six months in Madrid and he's bored already. The poor lad must be terribly homesick.

I was born in Salford, who do you suggest I support? You're supposed to support a team that's never won anything. As long as their ground is within a five-mile radius. So, I don't know... Manchester City?
