First Oasis gig was at the LCCC on Sunday 15th September, 2002. Totally wrecked a perfectly good pair of trainers that day.

My uncle gave me a copy of DM back in 1994, I think just after Whatever had been released. I was hooked from there.

I've also heard it from someone else that when he went to an Oasis gig, his trousers leg parts where completely shreded! Should I worry about this at Wembley arena?!? ;D Back on topic: I actually became fan during the SOTSOG era. Actually, Go Let It Out was the song who hooked me to Oasis. And after that a guy I knew gave me a bootleg of the Brussels gig they had in 2000 on a cd he burned to me. I became instantly a huge fan!

When I go to concerts, I wear confortable clothes that I don't care too much about and I tie my shoes very tight ;D I lost one of my shoes in a gig in London and thought I'd have to take the train home in socks ;D But After people cleared out the venue I was able to find it ;D DYKWIM was the way for me

Last November/December-ish was when I started listening to them, but I don't think I became officially Madferrit until late winter-early spring. In other words, DOYS era.

I bought a used copy of Definitely Maybe 1998 and my dad had the Masterplan, but I didn't really get into Oasis until a couple of years ago.

Hmmm... I became a fan in about October of last year so that would have been towards the end of the DBTT era and the beginning of DOYS.

I remember my little bro playing BHN(the song) over and over again, and it was pissing me off. I told him just play one other freaking song off of the album, and so he played the rest of them and I was blown away. Borrowed/stole his copy of WTSMG, and I was hooked.

FFS, every Oasis album does NOT mark an "era"
Rather, Oasis can be split into 3 eras:
1994-1999: Britpop, Their Glory Days, etc
-> Albums: DM, WTSMG, BHN
1999-2004: Uninspired Period, new band members (andy, gem), fall from fame, etc
--> Albums: SOTSOG, HC
2005-Present: Back to form, More mature and focused
--> Albums: DBTT, DOYS

Oh come down, will you?
He's just asking people when they became Oasis fans and most of the time it relates to the latest album out at the time!
