First heard oasis in 94 in on TV when I was 9, liked it but didn't have a clue who they were. Then my mom of all people bought what's the story morning glory in 95 and by late 95 the album was always in my room, then when Be Here Now came out I started buying the old singles to get all the bsides, I remember saving money in 7th grade and begging my patents to help me out the rest to buy the def maybe singles box. Then round 2000 got on the Internet for the first time and was able to hear gigs, rare stuff, demos, and eventually all the leaks.
Fuckin mad fet it!

First album i ever bought was BHN so i suppose then, but was 'into' WTSMG before hand though.
Think the first song i ever heard of theirs was Roll With It.

Agree with you that Oasis changes your world, I was listening to this crap before I found Oasis in 2008

I got into music when I was 10 in 95, at that stage I ws only into the Beatles (because of the Anthology series). I didnt like Oasis at first becuase of some stupid reason I thought you could only like one band. I remember hearing Imagine on the radio and being mad at myself for liking it not knowing it was a John Lennon song. I eventually got into oasis when my friend bought BHN, it was 'Magic Pie' that won me other, strangely enough.

I popped in and out of listening and watching the music videos until little by little (no pun intended) I built a tolerance to their music only because I was use to the likes of My Chemical Romance and Blink 182. Thanks to BRMC though I found Oasis and I Dig Out Your Soul was so new and alien to me than anything I had listened to at the time and that album is just so brilliant and new and an incredible grooving anthem for retro hipsters. The b-sides, the cool videos, and the amazing interviews, fucking love DOYS.

Morning glory era I would call my self a fan.was aware of a few tunes at first but was not sure who it was. Then got wonder wall as my first ever cd loved that then the Brits in 96 when dlbia was big got that cd then they played Knebworth which is 5 mins from me and I was hooked. I was 11 at the time so too young to go. Was hooked that day onwards. First gig was wembley in 2000 and them a total of 13 times, met Liam and noel once also. That's my story!

My dad and his friend were into Oasis before Supersonic and went to watch them quite a lot in some very small venues, he used to record all their early TV performances and used to play Whatever on a loop when it was released.
At the time i was 16 and not really into guitar music, and then Match of th Day used the Supersonic solo as a backing track top a compliation of goals.
I then "borrowed" my dad's copy of DM really only listening to th singles that were familiar, until a fiend told me to listen to slide away and I was blown away.
I then began about buying the CD singles, asking my dad to teach me guitar, and trying to then laearn the songs.
I then bought Some Might Say on release, and every subsequent release on release, only missing a couple of release days due to being on holiday.
My only regret was not getting into them about 6 months earlier, as my dad would have willingly taken me to some of those early small gigs.

First post, just signed up and been a bit of a lurker.
I was only born in 1994 (one day after Supersonic was released, it was so nearly destiny!) so obviously didn't get properly into them until quite recently. I'd obviously heard all the classics being played on the radio while I was growing up (Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, Live Forever etc.) First started properly getting into them in 2010 when I bought Time Flies, and I've been hooked ever since. Oasis are pretty much the only band I listen to these days, they've just got a bit of everything to suit every mood. Rockers, Ballads, Sad Songs, Love Songs, Upbeat Songs, Punky sounding songs, what else could you need?
So yeah, after I'd got hooked listening to Time Flies I went out and bought all of the albums and fell in love with Oasis, just gutted I was slightly too young/got into them slightly too late to go to any gigs but I live in hope!

I got into them when I, when feeling f*cked after a funeral, just typed in Don't Go Away in the search bar on youtube. Oasis' tune was the first one in the results, so i clicked on that video. It instantly made me feel better because of the 'upbeat' sound. A week later i was looking for Oasis' albums on the internet. Having only heard Dont Go Away (still my favourite song of all time) and Stand By Me, i decided to buy the album with those two on them, Be Here Now. Didn't take long before i bought the other albums as well.

According to this poll the same number of fans joined the ride post 2002, as before hand!! 113 to 113.
Also, if you add up the numbers there have been more votes cast then they claim have been. 226 to 215.
Very interesting indeed.
