EM 96--> "Don`t look back in anger" was the soundtrack for the german tv program. Germany won the title. Watched "There and Then" on VHS and was captured ever since then.

Around the time of Whatever but properly I'd say Morning Glory, I owned that first and got DM shortly after. Soundtrack to my life that fucking band.

Morning Glory, when I was 10, the first time I heard Wonderwall in Nov 1995. Something about the song just grabbed me by the balls (so to speak), and they became the first band I really took to. I never would have thought I'd have traveled around the country to see them a number of times (not enough times frankly!) and be obsessing over them still almost 20 years later.
The Masterplan made me a hardcore though, and I've been a regular on Oasis forums since 2000.

Mine's hard to say... I was bought up as an Oasis fan, grown up to idolise the brothers.... But I never really got a mind of my own and became really Mad Fer It until about 2005, when I joined secondary school...

It would have been the BHN era for me, but it wasn't because of BHN....a friend gave me Definitely Maybe to listen to.

I didnt even know of Oasis until about a week before DGSS came out. And that was purely by chance.

My brother was a huge fan of Oasis since MG, he went ape shit crazy when he saw the DLBIA video and how Noel was playing like 9 different chords with out looking like he was masturbating an elephant (you know, all power chords that were so popular at the time). Things were never the same after that.
I was blown away by Unplugged ironically, and at 14 years of age BHN was released and things couldn't have been any better. I quickly built up a catalogue of Oasis related items and things, and at one time I had a huge archive of Oasis video clips from like 1998 or so. I made a website to distribute them, that was ages ago.
I love everything they've done to some degree, but pre-2000 the band was on another level from other bands. Mind-blowing all the time.

1994, my mate got Def Maybe on cassette the day it came out as he had heard about Oasis on the radio, that night we was down the park (where we hung around as kids) and he brought his walkman with him with Def Maybe on, he gave me one ear phone and told me to listen to Live Forever then ever since i've been a fan!

Saw them playing Supersonic on Naked City (defunct Channel Four music show) in June 1994 and was hooked.

Heard the Columbia demo being played on Radio 1 late 93/early 94. I thought it was the Happy Mondays, at the end of the song the DJ said it was a band called Oasis. Had a tape lined up to record the song the next time Radio1 played it, and eventually got it taped a couple of days later, that was me hooked

Almost same here! must have been crazy to discover all the older albums, gigs and bsides from there! You have no idea. My life is music, and when I discover a new artist, I will obsess over them for a year or two, getting every fucking b-side, all the good sounding shows, basically being an encyclopedia of them. Oasis and Frank Zappa are the two greatest for me in terms of how many good-quality recordings there are. Its unreal. So, I guess, being 16 right now isnt all THAT bad.

Living in Australia DM never made it over here (very sad). The first song I ever heard was Whatever and that was it really spent the next few weeks in dingy record stores spending my money on DM and B-Sides.

Dig Out Your Soul era.
I was too young to remember the 90s, although Wonderwall and some of the other singles are among those songs I've 'always' known from hearing at one point or another. I became a fan when one of the local rock stations started playing The Shock of the Lightning. I looked it up and listened to it and immediately realized I'd actually heard a lot of other songs by this band. And then I wondered why nobody ever told me to listen to them.

Up! New users, answer the poll! lol I think we need a few more options up there! post- DOYS for me. sometime late 2011 no era in particular, I guess Noel just had the HFB record out but I didn't find out about it until a month or two after I was already commmitted to Oasis fandom lol. DLBIA got me started, Morning Glory and BHN were the first two albums I heard and then it was a crash-course from there. started at the beginning DM through all the albums, the singles, and then all the glorious bootlegs which I've only scraped the surface of. Oasis changed my life

2005/2006. Here's my story. I played FIFA 2005(or was it 2006?) on my gamecube(!). Really liked a few songs on there, so I wrote them down. Among them Lyla by Oasis. I downloaded them and a few other songs by the same artists, just in case they had more good songs. I think i downloaded TIOBI, stand by me, SCHYO, Lyla and wait for it,Breakfast at tiffanys(!). I loved them all. Downloaded more songs, loved each and everyone of them. So I started searching for them online to learn more about them. Found out they had wonderwall, which I had heard before. Found this forum and u told me what I needed to know (Thank u!). I got slated cus I though breakfast at tiffanys was oasis, but u were kind. Cannot understand how I could think it was oasis, but whatever. I found every song, downloaded them, bought all the albums, watched YouTube videos, I was hooked. I started playing guitar and learned all the songs. Because of Oasis I also got into kasabian, Stones, stone roses, jam, etc. Was lucky enough to see them live in Aberdeen in 2009 before they split. Would love to see them again sometime..2015 hopefully! Have also seen NGHFB live in Oslo last year. There hardly goes a day by without listening to oasis/NGHFB/bdi. The gallagher brothers are an important part of me now. I feel like i'm kind of an Oasis missionary. There's not many Oasis fans in Norway, but I recommend them and talk about them to everyone. I feel pity for those who have not heard their songs. If you're at a party at my house, expect the stereo to blast Oasis songs all night long:)

(And when i read that the song was relaesed in 1997 my face was: ) Then I listened song like DLBIA,SCYHO and maybe Supersonic, but it wasn't immediately love This summer at the Olympic closing ceremony I heard Wonderwall,my father spoke me about Liam and Oasis and I was in love with them Then I discovered thet Lyla and all those songs that I really liked in the past are Oasis songs...this is my history!
