I'd like to think that Noel was just joking around in those pictures.... Otherwise, I'd be a little sad...I'd still love him though. Also, in response to the actual topic: I live in the deep south of the US- Texas to be exact. It's really sad since I rarely hear Oasis on the radio. When I listen to the radio, there are rare times that I hear Oasis' CS play. Of course, I'm talking just the past couple of months. I have friends who only know Oasis for Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova and I think "Wow. As great as those songs are, there are so many more hits they have." Most people here have heard about the Gallaghers fighting with each other and it turns them off. So...I'm kind of a lonely Oasis fan in my school. ::Sigh:: Whatever, their loss. On a happier note though, whenever I hold a Rock Band Party, I always make sure to pick at least two Oasis songs so that whoever is playing has to listen to it.  |

I'm a member over on that forum aswell and a lot of the people there really don't like Oasis, sometimes it's like i'm the only one defending the boys.
A lot of people say they have done nothing good since WTSMG. I think everyone is looking for the Anthem like tunes on the albums and whenever someone like that listens to a new Oasis album compares it to DM or WTSMG.

I would prefer a festival attracted the Oasis crowd than those nutters who are trying to beat the shit out of each other at Slipknot and other angsty bands' concerts. I think some people need to lighten up a bit, this forum is getting a bit touchy. We're all eagerly anticipating a new album, and anyone who uses the word "ned" or "chav" is just as much of a twat as the shell suit wearing wankers they are belittling. I think that though the English voabulary is slowly being diminished by the likes of the people on the T in the Park forum, we ought to rise above them.
Oasis fans are generally a very varied bunch. The band basically appeals to the everyman, and the everyman turns up to the gigs. It's not Coldplay, perhaps, you won't see your mum there, and it isn't Radiohead, you probably won't see the arsehole who did A Level Music and thinks that the more chords the better, but that doesn't mean you're going to see those kids who sit at the back of the 15 bus blaring out Rihanna from their mobile phones. How many times have you ever heard them blare out an Oasis song?
