Both acoustic version sound really bad tbh Yeah Noel doing them tunes in particular just highlights what a liam song is. Okay he didnt write them but without him they mean literally fuck all. I mean come on, tonight im a rock n roll star strumming on an acoustic? Do me a favour. Morning Glory is great acoustic. |

This song is just mostly junk. Has it’s moments but a huge meh. More Dad-rock than anything he’s ever done, really. I listen to lots of great psychedelic loopy edm sonic bands. Good ones. Noel doesn’t need to play in that sandbox, or, if he does, he had better do it way better than that. I've heard some crap on this forum over the years but this is right up there. |

Have gone from being very excited for this album to now very worried indeed (as others have said). I am still trying to talk myself into liking Holy Mountain but if I am being honest if this was done by any other artist I wouldn’t give it the time of day . Fort Know I am sorry is just utter rubbish all I can hear is a lot of noise and pointless repetition. I think we will be lucky to get a handful of good songs on this album if there are at least 3 I will take it as a win .. One thing is for sure it does not matter how fancy the production is as if the songs aren’t there it will count for nothing ,all we will end up with is an album built around production to help mask the weakness of the melody or lack there of. What I don’t get is with Noel being one of the few brilliant songwriters of the modern age , why do this ? . I have no doubt that all the songs he had written in advance for this 3rd album would have been infinitely better than any of the songs he wrote in the studio for who built the Moon . As for the producer David Holmes thanks a lot for potentially ruining one of the greatest songwriters the world has ever seen. I would love to be proven wrong re this and if the record is great and full of instant classics I will say so . couldn't of said it better myself... Noel said if he got back in Oasis it would be the death of him because he wouldn't be able to work with people like David Holmes ... if this is what David Holmes did to Noel it maybe over as far as hearing the Noel we come to love .... Noel once said that all the production in the world won't make a bad song good. That when you strip it all down good songs still sound good with just an acoustic guitar ... well Noel I sure in hell hope there are better tracks then this garbage .. no one wants to play this silliness on an acoustic guitar.And you know this how? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean no one else likes it. |

It's not supposed to be like "The Masterplan"... I know it’s not meant to be like the masterplan. My point is he has written great songs like the masterplan and Holy mountain is simply not very good. You do know he also wrote (Probably) All In The Mind and Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is. |

I know theres a hell of a lof of factors involved but you do look at figures like 5,000 and think wow this is a man who sold over a million copies of a single. 5,000 people is probably the amount of staff at Knebworth. Who'd of believed it would get like it is today.  |
