Complete and Utter Rubbish Let’s be honest if this was a new tune from anyone else none of us would give it the time of day.
I am all for a new direction etc as long as there is still a good tune there and just like WBTM (except for STMHTF) Black Star dancing is just boring and mediocre at best .
I seriously now think Noél has lost the plot completely and perhaps can’t write decent songs anymore, gives me no joy in saying any of this as new material from Noel used to be something to be very excited about.

I can’t believe there are fans that don’t think that these 2 songs are nothing but totally awesome and instant classics.
The only thing that makes me sad re these 2 songs is that they are a reminder of what we have lost as the rubbish that is WBTM does not come remotely close to Chasing Yesterday.

Still find it the worst Gallagher related release . The songs just aren’t there , it’s all about the production. The tour is rubbish as well , setlist is terrible . Never thought I would just be wishing this whole WBTM period away

Still think it is rubbish ,can’t beleive Noel has put this out Looking forward to this cycle being over . The tour set list is disappointing as well but why should the tour of a crap album be any different. Such a shame

I don’t know but there must be something wrong with me but to me the album is just horrible . The songs just aren’t there ,it’s a shame as I quite like the production that Holmes brings to it but as far as the descion to write in the studio well it me that has been a disaster. There are only 3 really descent songs on it (STHTF,BAWS,ILITL) I know a lot of people like the title track but to me it is just durge and completely devoid of melody and the chorus well it’s hardly a sing a along anthem . What else is there ? 3 rubbish instrumentals ,2 songs just written around a riff (KOR, BCWYWF) and then you have Holy Mountain which is in its category of just god awful . I have loved every Gallagher related release since 94 and it gives me no pleasure to say this but WBTM is rubbish and not worthy of Noel putting his name on it . He should have put it out under another name like Paul MCarthey does ie The Fireman for experimental albums . Am not surprised the tour has not sold out and it won’t . oh Forgot Beautiful World ok 4 good songs .

Finally got around to listening to my Japanese. CD Have Bought anything Gallagher related since 95 . I have got to be honest i think WBTM is rubbish to put it mildly .Noel has sacrificed great songwriting for atmospheric production . She Taught Me How To fly is the only song I truly think Is worthwhile followed by Black and White Sunshine and If Love is the Law and of course Dead in The Water which is really the only great Tune on the CD Very sad was looking forward to this Thanks a lot David Holmes

Have gone from being very excited for this album to now very worried indeed (as others have said). I am still trying to talk myself into liking Holy Mountain but if I am being honest if this was done by any other artist I wouldn’t give it the time of day . Fort Know I am sorry is just utter rubbish all I can hear is a lot of noise and pointless repetition. I think we will be lucky to get a handful of good songs on this album if there are at least 3 I will take it as a win .. One thing is for sure it does not matter how fancy the production is as if the songs aren’t there it will count for nothing ,all we will end up with is an album built around production to help mask the weakness of the melody or lack there of. What I don’t get is with Noel being one of the few brilliant songwriters of the modern age , why do this ? . I have no doubt that all the songs he had written in advance for this 3rd album would have been infinitely better than any of the songs he wrote in the studio for who built the Moon . As for the producer David Holmes thanks a lot for potentially ruining one of the greatest songwriters the world has ever seen. I would love to be proven wrong re this and if the record is great and full of instant classics I will say so .

Really don't understand the hate towards Dave Sardy. I thought at the time of DBTT that it was a refreshing change from the past and that the album worked well with the songs the band did themselves and the songs Sardy worked on . DOYS was only let down by a couple of bad choices song wise ie Get of your high horse and the worst album closer of all time Soldier On . I think that was down to Liam bailing on the sessions early so certain songs ie Come on Outside could not be finished. HFB'S to me is a close to perfect album ,IIHAG is just brilliant powerful and conveying all the emotion that is in the song perfectly .Can't for the life of me understand that some people have said that they prefer the sound check version . The only producer I don't want Noel to go anywhere near again is Owen (ear bleed) Morris. Who basically just turned everything up to 11 and compressed the hell out of it. A good producer would have stopped the madness that was Be Here Now but Morris just let it happen and as a result there was a big fallout with the public and some fans and the band imploded. So for me if Noel chooses to work with Dave Sardy again I would have no problem with that.

Wow love reading about other fans journey's into all things Oasis, HFB and Beady Eye. I started with MG and have been hooked ever since . Have bought all the CD singles, Dvd singles , compilation albums, official video's and DVD's and have been driving my wife nuts ever since. Have always been very excited when new songs arrive and this new Beady Eye album i think will be brilliant. Ever since Oasis broke up it has all been good news we have had 2 great albums , 2 long tours, quite a few bonus tracks b sides etc and not to mention coutless bootlegs both audio and video. So bring it on i say. Cheers Everyone
