The cover kind of looks like early Oasis covers. I like.

Why do people feel the need to state their opinion as absolute fact? Isn't that how it always works?

For What It's Worth is Mind Games for pre-schoolers. Bland, beige, inoffensive - ironically all the insults Liam throws out to other acts. Where's the confrontation and snarl of Wall of Glass or the more understated mystical and melancholy qualities of Chinatown? FWIW is just pseudo-bleeding heart Robbie Williams style cheesy naffness packaged up in Pretty Green clothing to deter others from that harsh fact. Derivative and naff to the extreme, it would fit nicely in Beady Eye and is probably a Gem Archer wet dream of a tune, but is a big drop in quality from the previous two songs. Let's hope the rest of the album does not follow suit. It really is, it's awful. The worst "song writing by numbers" bland, turgid, beige dreadful song I'd be happy never to hear again.

I love Alone On the Rope. Listened to it everyday on repeat for ages when it was released.

It's rubbish. As bad as most of the bad dross that Beady Eye produced. And that's saying something. It's better than FWIW.

U2's Pop was ahead of its time. So unfairly discarded as being rubbish when it was released.

My friend saw Noel out and about in London today. She said she was close enough to put her hand in his pocket. She took a photo of him (not with him) and he looks tinier than I remember him being. That is all. Noels tiny, that's why he's a grumpy, miserable bastard.

It's not the worst crime of the century, it's just annoying and makes me tense up and cringe each time he does it and I don't fancy paying £50 to feel awkward at a gig and like I'm watching somebody who's trying too hard. I'm sure the album will be good and I'll happily enjoy it. And I'm allowed an opinion just as you are - even if you think it's childish. I have to agree with you to an extent. I saw Noel when he first came back and the guys next to me were singing Life In Vain. When I saw him last year everyone around me looked like the Ed Sheeran types, I think he appeals to a completely different person these days and for me that ruins the live experience. Where did you see him, in London? Would explain it if you did.

So apparently they changed the mix of The Best Thing days before it was released. They're so riddled with self doubt and tinkering with the songs so much it's painful. I do think there's a catchy song in TBT but the version they've released is so obviously trying to be a "pop hit" it's embarrassing. The Sci-Fi Soul Mix is alright. It's a lot better than the mix in the lyric video posted since the Soul Mix makes it feel like one whole song and not many parts awkwardly bridged together to make a whole song. The lyrics and composition are rather poppy, but there seems to be some sort of dark edge and melancholy to it that doesn't come out on first listen. Really, that seems to be a recurring theme on all three of the songs we've heard so it will be interesting to see what kind of an album we're gonna get overall, especially with some of the deep cuts which always get to the essence of what's interesting/what they're really going for with their albums in recent years. The Sci Fi soul mix wasn't the single mix apparently. They had 2 "emergency" mixes done days before the release. One was the Sci Fi soul done by a team of producers and the other was the single version done by Lilleywhite. The other mix was finished last year and was the scheduled single mix up until last week. I think Edge said they'll release it at some point. It's just smacks of a lack of confidence in their music and all the tinkering just doesn't help. As I said, it's catchy enough but for a band like U2 it's so generic and an obvious ploy to get some sort of hit single which they need to realise they'll probably never have again.

You're out of your mind. And you need to get your ears checked. Noel is a better vocalist than Liam and always will be. The 90's are over and with it the era of Liam actually being able to sing. He's awful these days and needs studio magic to not sound like garbage. Noel acts like a mature adult like someone in their 50's should. There's no excuse for someone in their 40's to act like Liam does, it's a joke. I can't decide who whines about nothing more- Star Trek fans, Marvel/DC fans, or Oasis fans. Its a bit ridiculous. Liam's last gig > Noel's last gig. Nonsense.

He didn't say she should have a sex tape or that he wanted one or anything remotely sexualizing towards the kid. He said she's like Paris Hilton, which is very true: Rich and famous solely because of who she's related to, and doing some half-assed modeling based on the connections the family name brings. She is exactly like Paris Hilton, minus the sex tape. What's there to object about? There's a need to make out any of the Liam fans on here out to be sexist, single, obsessed fanboys. Look in any thread where Noel is brought into question and youll find digs about sex or medication for mental illness. Its quite disgusting and im sure if i was any of those things id be very offended. You tend to get some very questionable Oasis fans. Been to many an Oasis concert with its fair share of complete and utter idiots.

Really don't understand this logic, if it even is logic. Didn't realise saying 'can you sing?' was the crime of the century. In fact, it's probably the worst thing to have ever happened in history... If he releases a good album that's all we care about. Do I expect a better album than Liam's? Of course, he was the principal songwriter of Oasis for fuck sake. As ever, it's about judging the music and the music alone, not petty squabbles and childish tribalism like your post. That's got to be the worst excuse I've ever heard for not going to a concert!?

Liams becoming the "Trump" of Oasis with his idiot comments. Seriously, what is gained by all this? It makes him look stupid. Go and get therapy if he's so upset with Noel. What a sad state or affairs.
