That dreamy chorus is beautiful though. It's like the peak of your best high exploding out of your mind and then resettling back in the same place. I respect your opinion but I'm really not getting any of that. Just sounds like a typical Oasis-lite chorus to me. Hopefully it'll grow on me soon... An Andy Bell song.

Why be so negative ? FWIW we've heard for ages, everyones raving about the new tunes and you pop up moaning about FWIW ! Embarassing this anti-Liam crap, get back to your Noel threads I said it was the worst song on the album which is a compliment to the rest of the album. Jesus, people are touchy.

FWIW is the worst tune in the album! And how many times have you listened to the album in its entirety to make such a verdict? I've listened to FWIW enough to know it's dire.

Julia said October 4th, no? I have no idea what to believe. Oct 4 is a Wednesday and 2 days before Liam’s album. Doesn’t seem bright to me. CHART BATTLE! POTATO vs MR ANGRY!!

3 songs would be insane! That would be some marketing by Noels team! Don't see it happening though.

I'm not feeling too good about some of the titles in that tracklist. "Keep On Reaching". "It's A Beautiful World". "Be Careful What You Wish For"... Sounds like something from an upcoming Coldplay album. Don't worry, Noel is the master at genuinely sincere and happy songs. Coldplay just come off as desperate when they write happy tunes. That's when they lost me as a band. There won't be any similarities to latter era Coldplay because (a) it's Noel Gallagher and (b) he has a similarly salt of the earth cool dude producing the album with him, whose not into sentimental drippy songs. Let's remember that David Holmes is a greater producer than anyone Coldplay have hired in the last number of years. The new stuff sounds nothing like Coldplay, don't get the comparison. Probably more like the Chemical Bros if anything. Anyway, the day Noel writes a song with Beyonce is the day I give up.

I'm loving your optimism that Trump would take the correct lessons from a Vietnam war documentary, even that one. Of course he wouldn't :-(

Watching Ken Burns's Vietnam (a staggering 10 part, 20 hr long) documentary, and it's amazing and incredibly humbling. Trump should watch it.

Liams album would have been dreadful with no collaborators. Scorpio Rising was Co written with Death In Vegas anyway.

Pray that the rest of the album is as atmospheric as this, it's off the scale. For Knox gives me a panic when I hear it. Some really good stuff in this.

The little effects are so good. On Fort Knox for example, you get a real feel of alarm and planes flying over etc it's like a wake up start to the album. Then the "attention, attention" and the female vocals really highlights things. Very excited to hear what else is in store.

Fort Knox sounds immense like an "alert, alert" start to the album. Sounding interesting to me, definitely take a few listens to get into but those type of albums are always the best in the end.

The cover is so interesting in itself. It looks like its a "light" and almost epic and different album. I get the feeling this will not be like any other NG collection of songs. Actually, it'll probably be dad rock ;-)
