Almost as if Holy Mountain is a fucking tune You don't say! It also sounds great on the Sky Sports clips. The hate in here from some to it was ridiculous. It's also an insane grower.

They are the worst tracks! By far. Really? D'you reckon it's worth listening to? Yep, definitely. Some dodgy tracks on there but some really good stuff. Surprised me as my expectations were zero. The singles are by far the worst tracks.

No urge at all to listen to the leak, not even tempted due to the largely forgettable string of releases so far. Noel’s keeping me preoccupied and will do so until the end of the year in all honesty, just had Who Built The Moon turned up LOUD in my flat and it sounds truly epic - never thought we’d see the day where Noel pushes the boat out further and is more adventurous than U2, but here we are. That said, my U2 fandom has extended as far as reading people’s reactions to the new album. I hear it is more ‘intimate’ than expected, which is encouraging as I’m really sick fed up with the hollow bombast of recent songs. After hearing You're the Best Thing... and American Soul, I don't think I'll listen to the album unless I hear they're easily the worst tracks or something. They are the worst tracks! By far.

Giving this album a first play through. Perhaps not as bad I expected. A few songs like American Soul with bits of SOI in them. Decent on first listen though. The Little Things album version is great thankfully. Did it leak? Yep. The very last song 13(There is a light) has a great verse which you think could be a great song then it has the Song For Someone chorus pretty much 😣 "Love is Bigger" is pretty good a kind of ATYCLB anthem.

My mates and parents have been referring to it as "his hit" What if Dead on The Water becomes an unexpected hit? It has some great backing in iTunes in the UK... Its not even that good! But, Holy Mountain climbing up the charts?! The parka monkeys will be furious!

For me it is a weaker collection of songs than the previous two solo efforts and is sadly the continuation of a downward spiral. Hardly surprising though most artists like footballers peak in their twenties and then decline. Noel on this evidence is no different. It has a few redeeming songs (she taught me, beautiful world and dead in the water) but these are all lesser versions of previous efforts but with better production. On first listen I really liked the man who built the moon, but once you notice it is just Wonderwall without the chorus it loses its appeal. Is it? Yeah, Wonderwall is the first thing I thought when I heard TMWBTM

Considering he was calling the album shit and that he would not be buying it weeks before it even leaked, I'd say he had the above drafted and ready to go before even listening to it (if he has even done that) Let’s be honest, many had written their reviews of this well before hearing it, vice verse with Liam. Anything to prop up their sad and pathetic Noel v Liam battle. My own personal opinion is i prefer Liam personally. I think Noel is acting a dick these days (particularly with his Brexit comments) but musically speaking, I fully expect this album to be far superior to As You Were which I really like anyway. I’ve not yet listened but I’m basing it simply because I’ve loved all the songs I’ve heard so far. The sense of abandon, joy and mystery that I’ve heard in the batch of songs I’ve heard are incredible. That, and the reviews are great. Let’s be absolutely clear, Liam’s songwriting team have really delivered for him. But professional songwriters who’ve worked with Adele up against the man who wrote Live Forever? If you’ve got more faith in the other lot over Noel, then you’re really on the wrong fucking forum. This is Noel Fucking Gallagher - songwriting genius. The others are good but, come on, there’s only one Noel Gallagher. As ever - judging it on these talents - the bottom line is the music, looking at it objectively and forgetting about pathetic tribalism. Spot on.

This album was clearly not made for the mainstream. It was made for Noel to have fun and dive into different types of music with more energy than he's had in a LONG time. It's worked perfectly in my opinion. It’s a pop album. It’s mainstream music. If you want to review it as a left of centre album then the verdict becomes even more damning. No way is this album for the mainstream. No chance. Its upbeat but it's not mainstream and it's not "instant" (which usually is a good sign). Anyway time will tell if it's got legs or not.

Andy Bell was a rock star and genius songwriter when Oasis was still looking for clues. It clearly seems orchestrated that Andy took a back seat in Oasis, because Liam is the focal point, then Noel. There isnt really room for a 3rd, in that situation, but if you think Andy Bell contributed little to Oasis, listen to "A Bell Will Ring", "Keep The Dream Alive", and "Thank You For The Good Times." Three epic, triumphant songs by Andy for Oasis, and some of the best songwriting, ever. A perfect contrast / compliment for Oasis. Ok Andy.

Disagree, it's an avarage Noel track from the 90s. Prefer the other songs. Average noel from the 90s? So its a 9/10? Now that's a fair point!

Its not an album track. Its a solo acoustic live in studio/extra/bonus track and its excellent for what it is. Its a gorgeous tune. The album is over at The Man Who Built The Moon unless you count "End Credits" which is nice in its own right. You want Noel by numbers? The entire Jools set. The pre-release tracks are the most uninspiring on the record aside from Beautiful World. Disagree, it's an avarage Noel track from the 90s. Prefer the other songs.
