I've met Noel on several tours and ironically, THIS tour and the Stop the Clocks tour he did with Gem seem to be the two times he's in the best mood, even smiling! Case in point - a photo I took at the Ottawa show on this tour: He's not jumping for joy but he doesn't look bitter and miserable at all.

The Oxford Arms is closest to the venue (and our hotel) so that's where my group will be drinking beforehand (and probably afterwards!)

No, def. no lipstick. It's just the light and the fact that he has nice lips.

There's no officially after-party planned. Guess it'll just happen as gavincampbell said, at the nearest bar

Yeah they're pretty $$ - but no different than any other band or tour.
At the Montreal show I bought the jacket, the canvas bag, a t-shirt and the tour poster. Can't remember how much it came to though.

I Believe In All = Pass Me Down The Wine (Part Two)
Maybe that's why I like it so much - I'm a big fan of that song as well.

Have fun! I almost cried the first time I saw them - granted it was 1998 and I was 14 years old, but still, it was an amazing experience...enjoy!

Best Liam hair - Wonderwall video. But there have been many great styles on him since.
I agree though - Noel's hair looks awesome right now - and I love that he's left the little gray streak up front in the bangs.

The way I see it, I'll go see them play when they come to town.. but I'm not going to follow them around anymore and pay a load of money to see multiple gigs. What's the point? Same setlist every night. Same bored expression. You can see them once, and just watch the dvd at home... I really don't think you will miss anything. I love Oasis, and always will. But I feel they have become rather lazy.. or are going through a lazy phase at least That's just about how I feel about them now. No more going on road trips to see the band, no more planning holidays to go see gigs, and I'm not going to spend time reading every little article about them. I've thrown so much money at them but i'm not going to spend more when i could just watch a bootleg video and have a similar experience... at least i won't have the threat of having piss thrown at me. I hope the laziness is just a phase. It's ironic how in the 90s they would always say how they were about the fans, and not like other bands in terms of just being in it for the money. Now they have become exactly what they used to hate. No they're not! Do you HONESTLY think that if Noel Gallagher didn't want to tour that he would? You are insane - have you any idea the royalties probably still coming from DM and WTSMG?! Noel is the first one to say that he's doing it because he WANTS to - and not for the money. They are who they are and personally they haven't seemed to change much over the last 10 years to me. I will continue to go see them, support them and have a damn good time doing it.

Okie dokie, we will see. But typically the trick is to get backstage to meet them, not the other way round!

Good on ya Jilliam for giving it to the guy who Liam intended it for - as painful as that would have been! At the Ottawa show (where I was super close and hoping to have a chance at it) this drunk asshole next to us kept BADGERING Liam for the tambourine. Liam threw it out to a girl to shut him up, but he grabbed it! Liam even called him out on it and told him to give it to the girl, but he refused. He then proceeded to shake the tambourine and sing drunkenly and was ridiculously annoying throughout the rest of the night. At some point I mouthed him off (knowing he wouldn't hit a girl). Ha. Anyway, karma happens for good reasons...he'll get his. I'm still dreaming about that tambourine - hopefully if I keep hoping one day I'll get lucky its really scary actually after a gig with a tambourine in your hands, you feel like your carrying gold and honestly at an oasis gig it is! I was only sort of scared thou for the last one...People kept leering at me. I remember saying to my mom (who had come with me) "Lets get the hell out of here before these people find out I have two more at home" More or less we ran back to the car Wow Jenny you are sooooo lucky!!! What's your secret? Horseshoe up your bum?

Haha no worries, but you ask how I can know that after being backstage for only one gig? Because that's all it takes! Because a tech guy, Gem Archer and Liam Gallagher had full conversations with me about the policy. Liam said he "can't take guys" and girls are "nicer to look at". And Gem explained the other reason I described above. And the stage hand said when I was trying to get my b/f a pass, and I quote "he has two chances...slim and fuck all" (insert British accent here). I wish the policy was different - I'd love it because it would mean my b/f could and it would be AMAZING, but I'm not full of crap when I said the above. It's true. Anyway, you can take us out for a beer the night of London to apologize for my hurt feelings
