I was at Oakland and enjoyed it a lot. But every Oasis show I have been to, it has been the same type of expressions, movements, and attitude. I have been to many of them. But if you put that all out of your mind, the music is great,

No way around it.
I am as big as an Oasis fan as there can be. I saw the lads last night in Los Angeles for the 8th time with a mate and my two brothers. While I quite enjoyed the gig, my buddy and my brothers (their first time seeing them) said, "Wow they really don't move or seem to want to be there."
There's no denying it.
Liam is also singing like a piece of shit and there is no excuse. He can still sing well. I don't give a fuck if he can sing as well as he can in 1995, but the dude can still sing better than 99% of any out there. His curtailing of every syllable is absurdly obvious, outrageously intentional, and 100% shit. Fucking sing buddy.

Part of the Oasis magic is watching Liam not giving a fuck I respect your opinion but I disagree. It was cool in the early 90s but watching a 36 year old stagger on stage with a tambourine on his head his just ridiculous.

You either love Oasis for who they are or you don't. End of story. Yep, but that doesn't change the fact that they've turned boring onstage. They've never exactley been Britney Spears, but at least there was more banter, changes in the setlists and more stage presence back in the olden days. They're better musicians now, which slightly makes up for it.

while they put on amazing shows, it's a much different show than, say... bruce springsteen or the who. they do anything and everything on stage.

No one wants them to start jumping around and dancing on stage, but just to put more energy into their shows instead of standing their like statues. These days Gem and Andy just stand their with a miserable face on, Liam can't be arsed to sing properly, and Noel tends to just wander around and start playing while facing the back of the stage.
With the old lineup in the past they didn't run around on stage and all that, but at least you could tell they were happy to be there.

I saw Coldplay on TV doing Austin City Limits. What the FUCK is Chris Martin doing? I mean, seriously. I am in a rock band, and I move around. Oasis don't move around. Fair enough. That's not really the matter at hand. It's that they dont look enthused. Which is a shame. But they sound amazing and I suppose that's what counts. At least they aren't trying too hard to be young or something silly like that.

Oasis are one of the few bands that can get away with doing fuck all on stage imo.

Yeah, it's not really about the fact that they don't dance onstage or whatever... it's the fact that they look bored and unhappy to be there. Back in the 90's and early 00's that wasn't the case. look how fired up Liam was at the 97 UK arena gigs for example. Noel used to be a lot more passionate onstage as well... he got really into his solos, and he'd bop up and down and would generally seem to be pretty into it, having a good time up there.
The thing that bothers me is when you see them onstage now... it's looks almost like it's a chore to them. Like it's more about showing up, clocking in, playing the standard hour and a half set, and making a pile of money... rather than about genuinely trying to play a brilliant show for the fans. And that makes me kinda sad.
The way I see it, I'll go see them play when they come to town.. but I'm not going to follow them around anymore and pay a load of money to see multiple gigs. What's the point? Same setlist every night. Same bored expression. You can see them once, and just watch the dvd at home... I really don't think you will miss anything.
I love Oasis, and always will. But I feel they have become rather lazy.. or are going through a lazy phase at least

No more going on road trips to see the band, no more planning holidays to go see gigs, and I'm not going to spend time reading every little article about them. I've thrown so much money at them but i'm not going to spend more when i could just watch a bootleg video and have a similar experience... at least i won't have the threat of having piss thrown at me. I hope the laziness is just a phase. It's ironic how in the 90s they would always say how they were about the fans, and not like other bands in terms of just being in it for the money. Now they have become exactly what they used to hate.

You are insane - have you any idea the royalties probably still coming from DM and WTSMG?! Noel is the first one to say that he's doing it because he WANTS to - and not for the money. They are who they are and personally they haven't seemed to change much over the last 10 years to me. I will continue to go see them, support them and have a damn good time doing it.

Noel looks pretty miserable from what I've seen. He seems like he doesn't even wanna be there. Even during the DBTT tour, they looked a bit more animated but that's seemingly gone. Sometimes it's hard believe that everything is alright within the group cos it doesn't look like it judging by those glum faces
That being said, they still put on a great show.
