The one person we can safely say won't remember this is Joe Biden and that's the problem.

I just had a discussion with a "liberal" who claims Biden is doing everything he can to help the Palestinians. I asked them what he was doing for Palestinians. They beat around the bush and could never point to anything specific.
And then I asked them about the weapons shipments to Israel since October 7th. They claimed that Biden hasn't sent any weapons to Israel and that they wouldn't believe that he did unless it came from his lips. This person votes. Like no wonder we are in the mess we are when these mouth breathing morons who can't or won't conduct a simple fact check are out there casting votes.

Fuck this man, just let RFK Jr. drive the boat for a couple of years. Biden is aiding Israel with ethnic cleansing at this point and Trump is gonna let Putin run wild in Eastern Europe. Compromise is pretty much a dead term now.
Now we have Iran vs Israel just in time for UFC 300.

All of our options are complete and total shit. It's like the dream of ever getting back to FDR's America is totally dead.

Deciding between Genocide Joe and Insurrection Don isn't a tough decision. The best choice is to no longer participate in the joke.
The U.S, specifically the American people, are doomed. This reality hasn't sunk in for most yet. But it hit me today full-throttle after catching up on the news.

If the U.S government, especially democrats, won't distance themselves from far-right authoritarians like Israel, who is committing the most abominable crime on the people it hates, then how can we ever hope to defeat and prevent far-right authoritarians (Trump) from taking over the U.S?
Honest question. Anybody have an answer?

Not one of Pryor (or Walter Hill come to think of it)'s best but as a kid I still loved it.
And The Toy (1983) with Scotty Schwarz & Jackie Gleason.

The primary system is, in theory, a democratic beacon when compared to how top politicians are elected in European democracies. It is pluralistic, open and populist in a positive sense. Party leaders have to cater to the people rather than narrow party hierarchies. And it is interesting that the system came about sort of randomly.
The problem is that it is quite obvious today that the system threatens the whole American democratic system. Loud primary voters, minority voting blocs, dominate the debate and marginalise the center, which in turn creates the deadlock in Congress. All you get is an idiotic never-ending culture war that eats itself into every sector of society. It has made the Republican Party hostage to a authoritarian narcissist (Donald Trump) and completely sidelined "Reaganism" and proponents of the classical liberal-conservative values that your Republic was built upon.
Thankfully, the development has not been as dramatic inside the Democratic Party, that successfully managed to suppress its radical wing in 2020 to elect a moderate, reasonable, politician as their nominee for President. Which in turn saved the world from Trump. So I am happy that there were no credible challengers to Biden in this primary, and I am certain that this fact has increased the chance of Trump not being reelected.

The same guy supporting a genocide? The same dude accusing peaceful protestors across the nation of being antisemitic?
The same dude who claims to support a two state solution for Palestine, but the moment the historic measure comes to a vote, the U.S sabotages progress.
The same guy who promised a public option for healthcare and didn't deliver? The guy that didn't codify Roe V Wade and let a rogue supreme court endanger women across the nation (still happening)?
The guy who permitted a wave of anti-trans legislation to be get passed across numerous states with little federal pushback?
The guy who is the head of the party that canceled a primary in my state? (Not a democracy without choice)
The same guy allowing a TikTok BAN to go through (which endangers the youth vote, harming reelection chances)? The same dude who is basically continuing the same immigration policy of Trump? The same guy who isn't addressing the homeless problem, which is the worse it has ever been in this nation? Meanwhile we have 15 million vacant homes in America. More than enough to house 600,000 thousand people.
The guy whose stance on climate change got us this and they tweet this out thinking it's a win?:
When are we going to have the integrity to admit that Biden in 2020 was a mistake? It should have been someone else. Probably Bernie. And Biden will be an even greater mistake in 2024. We need to be pushing for his resignation and replacement. At this point, "Do not come" Kamala would probably do a better job. And that's a low fucking bar.
Not being Trump as the main selling point for reelection isn't good enough. They need to actually represent their voter base and do something. And they don't. They haven't for some time. They are not representative. They are failing voters. They are actively discouraging voter participation with every single day that passes where they don't take substantive action.
They can do an emergency vote to secure more billions for Israel and Ukraine at the drop of a hat. But they can't do an emergency vote for any issue that actually counts and substantively helps the working class?
If this is the best democratic politicians can do, democracy is fucked in the U.S. This is the weakest democratic administration in my lifetime.

Most points on your list make sense to me (not taking obvious exaggerations such as "supporting genocide" into account). I think they are closely aligned to the mainstream opinion of the US electorate as well, except maybe on the homeless problem and the Tiktok ban. However, if he actually manages to ban Tiktok in the US it would be an act of heroism that I did not expect of the guy! I hope our European leaders will be able show the same clarity on the issue.
